The loss of the rugby at the Mem and now a clear month before the next home match I guess Rovers cash flow is hit. The early exits from the cups .. FA cup and Trophy will not have eased our problems together with loss of FL revenue and little or no tv money.
Just as well the fans when there are matches turn up in very good numbers. The Winter so far has seen no postponements as yet.
Looking forward to the next home game against Lincoln City next month.

Seeing as we've signed 3 players this week the BoD don't seem to have any cash flow worries, no doubt the Festive season attendances will have helped in that regard.

Plus the fact that the season is front-loaded in terms of games. Hopefully they would have recognised this and managed it - although its possible to have doubts about even this basic level of confidence. Consider the fact that they did no financial planning around one of the only two outcomes from last season, i.e. relegation...

The Rugby was cost-neutral so wouldn't make a difference.

Perhaps they would have instructed DC to win the bath match if there was a worry

Perhaps the Board have instructed the Manager to sell-off one or two fringe players, to help balance the budget after the recent signings.

Well they haven't told DC yet then as Radio Bristol reported today that he has said he doesn't intend getting rid of any players during this window.

I'm very pleased to hear that, particularly as one of our more informed posters reliably informed us quite recently that Matty Taylor would be on the move in the current window. Be careful who you listen to, eh?

On the bright side (for Higgs and T Watola) there will be no win or goal bonuses to pay out

He's injured so nobody will sign him during this window. Now clearly that is true, and all the time his contract is running down with BRFC, which is also true. So I do find myself wondering (from a business point of view, and not a personal point of view) why the club has not ''bought out'' his contract up till now? Hopefully I'm wrong, but it does appear that his medical condition may well finish his professional career, so there must be a reason. Either the club is hoping that he will make some sort of recovery, or they are doing the decent thing, or are they able to make a claim on the players insurance policy? I wish Ryan Brunt all the luck in the world, but it is a strange situation.
