And should be in contention for the Woking game according to a tweet from James McNamara. Sorry, too stupid to link to it.

Good news!
Also I feel credit must go to Will Puddy, has proved to be a brilliant reserve this season. I'm very pleased how it's worked out for him. Will be interesting to see if Mildy comes straight back in or we continue with Will.

Very much on a tangent, but I finally watched the documentary made by Justin Fashanu's niece recently about homophobia in football (it's on YouTube), and was pleased to see Steve Mildenhall give a good account of himself in an interview while he was at Millwall.

Controversial but IMO Puddy keeps his place. There, I said what you're all thinking.

He also gets rid of the ball far quicker, and we do better when we play at pace and take the game to the opposition. It is a difficult one, and in every game Mildenhall always pulls off an outstanding save. However (tin hat on time) he's not as good now as when he first arrived. At first he showed total demand of his area, but now he is far more often on the back foot. I think it's case of the man who's got the shirt (jumper) keeps it until he fails.

Agree that Mildenhall has pretty poor distribution, possibly a remnant of Ward's football? Darrell Clarke would be pretty heavily criticised if Puddy was to have a poor game, tough decision to have to make.

Agree about mildy not commanding his area as well as when he first arrived,he caught almost everything back then and some teams opted to hoof the ball short of our penalty area instead because he was that good.Puddy had bugger all to do though since he replaced Spiess and I'd still be more confident with mildy in goal because of his bigger stature and also Puddy looked all over the place in dealing with crosses earlier in the season but he really hasn't been tested at all in that department by our recent opponents.
