Well done Rovers! Back in Macc, I'd better keep a low profile around town for a few days.

I wish some of our supporters would have a little more patience though. There was plenty of moaning going on around me in the Blackthorn End in the first half. It was clear Macclesfield weren't going to go gung ho at us and were going to sit back and try and hit us on the break so a bit of caution on our part was warranted to gradually break them down. Ranging from "keep it on the floor" to "get it forward" was some of the diverse advice being shouted from the same supporters. I think most of the time this manager knows what he is doing and has got the players playing as he wants. If we'd had half the effort last season that these players are showing now and the same manager you get the impression we wouldn't have gone down. Great game, great game management of players and system of play but lets stay patient with the team and manager as I'm sure more teams will come and 'park the bus' to prevent us maintaining our performances.

First half was cagey as i expected but we didnt lack confidence, we were always trying with it not coming off a lot of the time Second half was brilliant. Monkhouse and Taylor were outstanding Keep it up Gas Taylor was brilliant, wasn't he? People have to remember that he's a deep-lying striker, someone who unpicks defences and gets as many assists as goals. Was good to see Monkhouse driving at the defence in the second half, Macclesfield kept leaving space but we didn't seem brave enough to take advantage in the first half. Running at a defence that is standing off forces them to commit players, that's when you can find space.

I get the crtiticism of him not scoring, but he is starting to now and his all round play has been generally very good all season.

Would be pretty easy to catch them offside. Anyway I think that's Blissett's job now. Allows Taylor to play his natural game, hence the better performances and more goals.

Interesting (and funny in some way) to see Harrison grab the ball to take the pen.

Job well done though, it helps reduce Barnet's GD a little more.

It does seem strange there was no agreed pecking order for taking penalties, but it were a cracking pen.

For all we know there is an agreed pecking order and Mansell was trying it on!
