SCOLL FORWARD to 6mins 30 seconds on the video unless you want to hear the welling manager talk about how well they played and deserved a point.... wonder which game he was watching

They did deserve a point. I can't remember a single clear cut chance where I thought we would score.

Yes, it was a good save, particularly so since he appeared to be unsighted.
He dug it out of nowhere it seemed to me.

I see Jamie Day has left Welling to join Ebbsfleet. Have to say he has done a great job at Welling on a real shoestring budget. Not a great deal of charisma if the interview is anything to go by. Love the cheeky chappie Cockney geezer lad interviewed just before the highlights - looks about 16!

How did Spiess get away with wearing that kit? It almost looks like a Welling attacker saved it.

He didn't save that ball. The ball veered away on its own accord out of respect for the German superman.

Presumably the ref OK'd the strip before KO, but I'm just pleased to see Rovers playing in our own strip away from home . . . the Quarters. Sponsorship is all well and good, but . . .

Must be a trick of the camera, there was no obvious clash between our keepers kit and their shirts at the time that I remember.

I've always thought that there should be a panel to judge saves as 'goal-saving' and keepers put into a league like goal scorers.
I must admit that I thought we were about to go one down and was half way through a curse.
(It's the ex-goalkeeper inside me, and I know that if the shot is saved then it cannot be technically goal saving.)

deese want "goal-preventing". Possibly, but any shot on target saved by the keeper would be that. What I am talking about are those really outstanding saves that looked certain goals before the save by the keeper, like that one by Spiess.
