A lot of teams behind us have 1 or 2 games in hand over us,that's why we need to take 3 points away from these games.

This just proves what I've said all along. Have all the strikers you want, it doesn't mean a thing if there's no service from midfield. ....but we do seem to miss an awful lot of chances! Still think that a prolific experienced striker needed rather than hoping for goals from Wall, Goldberg and Blissett! if you were that prolific striker, why would you sign for rovers? when you could join a league team, which is half the problem

Yes, I sometimes don't know why people kept banging on and on about strikers and never mentioned a creative midfielder, which is the only type of player that we don't even REMOTELY have. We've had a bunch of half-baked strikers but our midfielders in terms of vision and building up play aren't even slightly "baked". Had we someone in the center with the ability to create chances and supply offensive play, maybe Brunt and Jamie White wouldn't even had to leave, they'd have like 15-20 goals each.
I considered them to be an easy win specifically in this game because we created some decisive chances which were not converted.

The January window will be a big one, I can see 4 loan players leaving aswell as 3 of our current players, 7 out and hopefully 4 good quality players in, Tubbs or Easter up front, targetman, decent winger, better quality centre midfielder.

Still doing the unthinkable and cementing our place in the play-offs, 1 defeat in the last 20 league games, 2nd in the league, 11th clean sheet of the season, if people can't be delighted with that after 4 dreadful seasons on the bounce then we deserve to rot in this league for many years to come. The usual tripe from WG. We "deserve to rot " if we aren't delighted with a draw at Welling! If you are then good for you. DC out coached clearly. Welling and their ilk train twice a week and still match us. We shouldn't be devastated by such a result - we are Rovers fans after all and are familiar with disappointment - but delighted? You must be kidding

Hardly think that makes us world beaters because we do a couple of extra hours of running or work with the ball. Most players playing for these part time teams are earning more than most in our squad when you combine there club wages and day job wages.

Welling had a 10th of our last home gate without our away following, surely like Alfreton that suggests their wage bill is less than a quarter of ours, it's shocking we can't manage one goal against teams made up of postman & builders etc.

So is it the strikers or midfielders - you confuse me!

Of course not, it's this pathetic opinion that because they are part time, train twice a week and have day jobs, there are automatically a crap team and we should be just turning up and winning.

I had a super fun time at Bradford Town - Odd Down in the Vase, it ended 4-3 to Bradford. Ex-Rovers 'keeper Ray Johnson manages Odd Down and came on for the second half for Odd Down's injured 'keeper. An ex-Rovers 'keeper? In the Western League? Sign him up!
Shame Rovers drew but a point away isn't awful. Didn't listen to the game but we remain unbeaten, an important couple of weeks over Christmas!

Used to come in the bookies in staple hill when I worked there.
