Have I missed a thread about this? Had a look and couldn't find one.
We have Bath City.
Bristol Rovers will play a local derby clash against Bath City in the FA Trophy First Round after the Romans completed a 3-1 win in their replay match against Gloucester City at Twerton Park last night.
An early goal from Andy Watkins put the hosts one up before Matt Groves levelled things for the visitors.
Ross Stearn then bagged a brace in extra-time to set up a meeting with Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
The game is set for for December 13th but is subject to change with Bristol City scheduled to be playing Crawley Town at Ashton Gate on that day.
The Pirates will likely meet Bath on either the Friday or Sunday.
Darrell Clarke's side played The Romans in a pre-season friendly back in the summer, where they lost 1-0.
Apologies it it has been posted already.

Hopefully we can now quickly agree with Bath City whether to play it Friday or Sunday.

Has to be Sunday surely? Bad enough that we have to play Friday night against Gateshead without another Friday game in party season

Or agree not to play it at all, and let Bath go through!

It should be played on Saturday at 3pm. The Sheffield and Nottingham clubs often have played at home at the same time with much bigger crowds than will be going to watch us v Bath or 82 v Crawley. In yet another example of Bristol being a city that acts like a village it won't happen here though.

Sunday? I think I'd rather stay home and watch Man Utd v Liverpool There are too many Bristolians that are more interested in successful teams from the other end of the country as it is without people abandoning supporting their local team to watch these oxygen thieves. Liverpool v Manchester means f**k all to me just as Rovers v Bath means the same to the Scoucers and Mancs.

In yet another example of Bristol being a city that acts like a village it won't happen here though. It's the probable behaviour of elements of the fans that means it won't happen. Not the overall number of people at the games.

Lets be honest zero chance of trouble at Rovers vs Bath, and if the idea is that City fans could turn up on their way to their own game ( or the other way round ) that is plain stupid as they could do that easily on any Saturday when city are away. In reality it is to do with Avon and Somerset police farce not being able to do their job.

Bristol Rovers can now announce that the FA Trophy First Round fixture with Bath City has now been arranged for Saturday 13th December (3:00pm kick off). The club are aware that Bristol City have a home fixture on the same day but following extensive communications with local police and safety authorities they see no reason why, on this occasion both Bristol teams can kick off at the same time on the same day.
