Allen has generally said good things about our crowd, even when he has got a bit of stick.
I quite like Allen. Bit of a Pantomime villain, but he does have trouble staying at clubs for one reason or another

Seven and a half thousand!? It would have been good if it was, and the comments are appreciated but why make up a fact that can easily be checked as completely inaccurate?

Martin Allen loves banter, always has and always will. I imagine he is a real handful for the Chairman which is probably why he will never be our Manager BU*T at this moment in time I wouldn't swap DC for any Manager and I hope the Board wouldn't. The time for Martin Allen was last season about 2 months before Ward "decided" to give up.

He has promised this time to see out his contract unless a premiership side comes for him. We shall see.

His contract is only to the end of this season at the time of writing. Still, more than happy with DC thanks very much.

Always nice to get a shout out for the fans, but gonna take it with a pinch of salt.
I'm happy with DC so far, but lots of areas for improvement. Funny, it seems the board have fluked picking a decent manager after so many dissapointments!

Allen is a funny one. He's said this before and it's a bit over the top. And 7,500 is obviously wrong. fair play to him for the positive stuff but still hard not to remember him for Reading in 2000, when he helped ruin our entire history.

I think you may be correct in that assumption, but not in the near future......

He seems to be forever touting, when it suits of course.

Higgs won't want a straight shooter like Allen challenging him.

Your reason for this comment? Humour or rumour? Both ! Hoping you're wrong on the rumour front and right on the humour front! I may be in a minoity of 1 but I have a lot of respect for NH, especially with all the abuse (rightly or wrongly) he's had to put up with. Hope he stays and somehow gets the UWE built (Sainsbury's permitting of course). Back to the original point - yes our fans are a class above with crowds at the same level as last season and I wouldn't be too keen to see Martin Allen managing Rovers - he seems to be a one-season wonder on his past record.

I personally would've had Martin Allen here like a shot on many occasions in the past, equally had I appointed him I would've started looking at suitable candidates to be the next manager.
