If we're to go up, especially as champions, we need to be able to outlast the rest - both over 90 minutes and over the remaining five months. This will help.

Luton fan here i must say i am very surprised that Alex Wall has signed for you as i thought he was going to be one of our leading strikers this season. He will do well for you he is a big very strong player that will never get knocked off the ball he is a battering ram. He has a shot that as hard as i have ever seen, i went to a training session at the beginning of the season and when it was time for shooting practice the keeper did not even try and save walls shots. When i asked why his he said it was only training and he didn't want to get injured because he (Wall) was a monster and no one wanted to stand in a wall when he was taking a free kick. All i can describe him as is a run away side board you will love watching him and the opposing defence will hate him. Good luck Alex come back soon and fight your way back into the team.
Never heard a footballer described as 'a runaway side board' before.Could be some onfield carnage with him and Blissett paired up.

Ive gotta say that this is fantastic.Ok we should not be in this league, but fair play to the board and DC with adding to our squad in recent months and not waiting until its too late.I think if we had better forwards from day one of this season then we would be above Barnet in the league.Ive not seen this type of - for the lack of a better word, investment to our squad since the Holloway days 15 odd years ago.Our overall team is well balanced, hardworking and now adding the quality in wide areas and upfront thats needed. Great post and hopefully enables those that accused the Board of not supporting DC through cutting budgets / not allowing him to buy Easter / refusing investment in the playing side or whatever will now see differently

As a fan of both Maidenhead United and the Gas (#whosyourfavouritenonleagueteam?) I think I am better placed than most to comment on Alex Wall. Have to admit that I was never his biggest fan – I felt that Mustafa Tiryaki (who went on to play for Havant & Waterlooville, then Tranmere Rovers, now Trabzonspor II) was the better prospect. Alex was/is very raw; often displaying poor touch and rather reckless in the tackle (the chant, to the Pink Floyd song, went “All in all it’s just a-nother card for the Wall”). Big and strong, though, and will run all day. Powerful shot as well, as evidenced by this match-winning free kick at York Road – I chatted with him, on occasions (once dressed as Borat!), and he seemed like a decent bloke; bit shy. Obviously I wish him all the very best. PS. I saw the Maidenhead United U18s, last week, losing to Torquay United on penalties in the FA Youth Cup; young Magpies striker David Rogalski scored two and looked a real talent. You read it here first!
