I think Macey was reported as 100K plus extras as when and a friendly match. I think this was just before the EPPP stuff was passed.
Mehew was after the EPPP so we presumably only get what is set out in those guidelines for him.
If Wilson has a pro deal then I am not sure on the finer points
I wouldn't disagree with a word of that PP. But the point that I am attempting to make is that if clubs (like for instance Arsenal, Blackburn and Wolves) continue to raid the lower leagues and cherry-pick the best players for a nominal return to the selling club (or the truly-rooked club), then as sure as eggs is eggs the supply of players from the lower leagues will inevitably dry up. At that point there would be huge implications from the England team downwards. But whilst the top clubs have Sky's money to underpin them, and seem determined to keep the lion's share for themselves, who cares? Firstly I'm not a fan of EPPP but your view Brizzle is not necessarily correct. If we take rough figures say 100 profesional clubs with say, generously, 30 pros that means at anyone time there are 3000 professional footballers. Now say an average career is 10 years then the system, whatever that system is, needs to produce 300 new players every year. Now could that say be picked up by the premiership & championship clubs? That is 44 clubs producing 300 players through the youth system which works out at what 6 or 7 new professional footballers per club per year. Doesn't sound outlandish does it?

Put like that CGH, who could disagree? At least I think so at any rate.
