Last season Luton Town started off the season quite poorly, and didn't get into a play-off slot until late September. They then hit the top 3 on 12th October, and despite not losing since mid-September stayed 3rd or 2nd until finally hitting the top slot on 28th December 2013. They never relinquished their lead and ended up Champions. Is there any chance we could set a goal to follow them to the top by 28th December? After beating Barnet we stand a chance but sadly I don't think we have enough games between now and then (6 lge games),and got some hard games coming up, including our bogey team Wrexham (lost our last 9 games there!) The Luton stats are crazy and show how tough this lge can be. People talk about their 'bad start' but they only lost once between the 2nd game of the season and the middle of March (yes, MARCH - 1 loss in 34 games) yet only got to top slot on game 25, after a run of 13 wins and 4 draws. This was partly because Cambridge Utd won their first 12 home games! The top slot this year is a doddle compared to that

I was counting up the number of games lost by the top sides this season and we were about par in the top half dozen or so - most had only lost three or four by last weekend. So it's tough getting a substantial lead on any of them. It'll take time if we do end up doing that.
However. Welling are beatable. Wrexham are on a dire run (no win in nine or something like that). Gateshead will be tough but we're at home. Then a tricky Christmas programme against Torquay and Macclesfield but Barnet showed we're up to the task.
Let's go
