Considering it was such a big game, with a fairly big crowd, I thought the atmosphere in the Blackthorn was subpar yesterday.
Great when we fired into 'em for the first 30 minutes, rocking with Taylors goal, then a bit of old school bedlam when Balanta got the winner.
In between ..... meh. A LOT of moaning. Hardly any singing, frustrated atmosphere. At 1-1 with the runaway leaders? I thought a poor show.
Kidderminster was better, but we're a long way off what I remember the Blackthorn to have been over the last decades.
Am i expecting too much? We are in the conference after all, we're lucky so many have stood by the club, etc.etc.
But i go onto the Blackthorn for a singsong and a bit of 'panto' love and hate. If I want to watch the game with a bunch of crotchety old moaners I'll go down the DriBuild ;0)

Certainly it subsided a bit with Barnet's equaliser and the way they sat on the 1-1 scoreline after the break. Got a bit fed up with one or two loudmouths yelling their moaning inanities at certain players.

The bloke who poked the Braintree player is a big miss, people say he was a moron but he used to get everyone behind the goal in the Blackthorn end singing.

Ok, we were slick and attacking in 1st half but barnet came out after HT and tightened their play up considerably. And we were attacking other end and you can hardly see a thing down there. Most of us are used to watching Gas in 3rd tier, and bits of 2nd tier. Hard to get REALLY enthusiastic unless we start thumping a few teams. I imagine the atmosphere at Luton changed a lot last season when they steadily rose through the Autumn and then reached the top and stayed there, often beating teams by 3 or more goals. Tuesday night in November, very wet, bit cold, work the day after. Looked like it had draw written all over it. therefore all a bit subdued / nervous. we REALLY want to win this lge. I don't trust the play-offs.
