On the other forum NortonGas has posted the following :
"I just thought I would pass on I heard a statement on the stadium is imminent either some time this week! I'm hearing it's good news!"
Now I've heard these sorts of rumours a million times before (and I'm not exaggerating!!) and won't believe anything until I see it (and sat in it!) but aren't Sainsbury's due to announce which stores they're canning and which they're proceeding with soon?

He was right with the blissett rumour so I guess we'll wait and see. Like you I'll believe it when I'm sat in it.

Interesting we paid an apparently "substanial" sum for Blisset last week does this perhaps confirm that good news might be on it's way. If the contracts are watertight perhaps Sainsbury's will have to pay up?

Unfortunately, Trash and Carswell derailed that projected date.

Why would there be any news until all legal challenges have ended ?. As I mentioned there is a JR/Legal process if TRASH and CO want to appeal the decision. Also the vocal minority groups would want to know if Sainsbury's really do have any intention in building a supermarket. Maybe Sainsbury's are spinning it ( saying they will build a supermarket) in the hope that a legal challenge would come in.
Many games yet to be played out...

A recent press release from a splinter group hiding behind the GREENS said: " The board of Rovers and Sainsbury's got what they wanted on extended hours from a hapless council : which may now face various legal challenges"
I understand it is 6 weeks which is 24th December cut off as I mentioned...

i thought we were told there could be no JR or any legal process over the extended delivery hours? They can't . They can, so far as I know. What prevents someone from applying for a JR over this decision made by a council, just like someone could about any other council decision? Tell me I'm wrong. I do want to be wrong.

If that's right it seems to rubbish any thoughts of the diggers being in by March then as TW forecast. I can't somehow see all the contractors in place and work programs etc etc in the 10 weeks or so after Christmas eve.

I am sure that these extended hours cannot bring about a Judicial Review.

I am sure that these extended hours cannot bring about a Judicial Review. Correct, it is only if the they can prove (Ha Ha) that the way the decision was made was flawed, or the evidence produced was wrong.
I think it will be ok. Tonight they will be wetting their pants with all that money given to improve the cycle lanes.
