Does anyone keep or have a link to the amount of Rovers fans at away games? I thought of tracking that, but realised it would not be a true picture this season. For example, when I went to Altrincham in August, I sat with about 100 to 200 Rovers fans in the stand. But that's my estimate - there was no segregation, so no way of recording the number. The reported number of Gas at Altrincham would only have been those who went on the terrace behind the goal. However, if you're interested in the "official" numbers, give me an hour and I'll try to get the data together!

Can't find the number for away fans at Barnet, Altrincham and Forest Green. Also, the number at Eastleigh was calculated from the number of tickets Keith Brookman said on the radio he returned unsold! (See match day thread on this forum). Otherwise the numbers come from Rovers official site, or the sites of home clubs.
Barnet ? (in 2027) ?% Altrincham ? (in 1463) ?% Forest Green ? (in 3781) ?% Braintree 565 (in 1621) 34.9% Lincoln 211 (in 2933) 7.2% Southport 367 (in 1202) 30.5% Eastleigh 994 (in 2621) 37.9% Aldershot 1255 (in 3466) 36.2% Telford 895 (in 2860) 31.3% Alfreton 315 (in 880) 35.8% Chester 479 (in 2936) 16.3%
The total attendances at Dorchester and Tranmere were 1909 and 3559.

Regarding the Eastleigh game, I heard Keith Brookman on the radio say 996. We had 1100 tickets and 104 was returned so 996. If that helps.

Welling could be a case of gasheads outnumbering the home support... they had a crowd of just 500 last staurday and if we win tonight and at home to Welling on saturday (we play them home then away on consecutive saturdays) the game on Sat 6th dec at their place could see us outnumber home fans as games in the london area are always well attended by Gasheads

Do away fans in the home ends get counted particularly where our fans are sat under cover in the seated area and there are quite a number of our fans do that ?

only just saw this thread.
i have a vested interest and have been jotting down all the away fan figures as the season progresses. really good numbers.
also interesting to do 'away fans per mile from bristol'. i know not all fans are going to travel from bristol but does give a stat that could be compared to others clubs. gas at home matches vs gas at away matches is also a good one.

If we need a point to win the League my guess we would take about 38000 to Dover!

If we need a point to win the League my guess we would take about 38000 to Dover! We definitely all need to get the Eurostar to Calais and then sail into Dover before this game. Preferably in a galleon. With cannons.
