We lost our league status because we did not score enough goals. We stayed 'loyal' to Matt Harrold last season who simply was not up to the job. My fear is that DC has a mis-guided loyalty towards Matty Taylor and that our lack of goals is the reason we aren't closer to Barnet. Matty Taylor will never be a consistent goal scorer. It really has been tragic to hear Higgs say they know that a striker was needed but have continually not addressed it. You know I don't go atm but my friends say we also often bypass midfield. Maybe we need that midfield General who can direct play, hold up the ball and then make precise passes so that the new boys can strike them away. We always seemed to have an abundance of goalkeepers and terrier like midfield characters. How I would like that now. I miss going but not for the football, I miss the company that I otherwise don't see as they are pussy whipped

24 goals in 21 Non-League games. Not good enough.

for: 2 goals scored away, the new bloke is off the mark, its a point away from home, Goldberg got on the pitch, the only pro team in Bristol to get a point today
against: let a 2 goal lead go, jittery defence at the end, we're still missing chances

Both goals just after the substitution of Della Verde. One of their fans said glad to see the back of you, mate, when he went off. Why take off a player who posed a threat? He goes off and they start pushing up.

''Daring'' surely KP. But as it feels good, well who knows eh? Everyone to their own. Stupid iPhone keypad. I make so many errors that I can't be arsed to fix them all. I just can't be arsed to boot up one of the computers. Apologies mate as I do know English I'm not brave enough to even attempt to send anything on my iPhone (fingers like bananas you see), so my hat is off to you. smiley-char152

Aye. Another point towards safety.
Automatic promotion disappears over the horizon. I wonder if Clarke is going to cry again? Might earn him another new contract for being sh*t.

Our defence is good and, on paper, the best in this league. We had several times where we have let a 2 goal lead go in the last 4 seasons and the Plymouth games are vivid in my mind as are Turkeys. It can't be good for player moral to be swapped around so much and yet apparently it's our fault for being negative lol. At least not a loss but now lots of pressure going into Tuesday's game V Barnet. My first game this season so hoping we turn on the gas

You made me spill my cider !! Love the raw irony mate. You do make me laugh more often than not. I have always enjoyed dead pan humour and the ability to be self deprecating. Nice one PG. I needed that.

probably the next one out the door Why bring him on then? because Verde is on a months loan, Gosling is our full time player. Verde will not be here after Christmas, Gosling will. Therefore you give him game time

Pleased with a point , disappointed to throw away a two goal lead.
Substitution of Della Verde turned the game , one for DC to think about as he got it completely wrong.
Bringing on Gosling ahead of Balanta...is another very very poor call....
DC needs to look in the mirror tonight and think what should I have done differently.

It can't be easy for DC & I am not trying to rationalise his decisions but he seems to be acting more bizarrely of late & that worries me. There is being brave in making a close call decision but then there is Mule headednesd & I persinslly think the latter of those is the problem. I've always questioned whether we can afford to have a young guy learn while at the club but we shall see who is jumping for joy cone May or even in the play offs. I hope he proves me & other dkubters very wrong.

Matty is our best forward player - well before we got LDV and Luther anyway. His movement, effort and general ability is excellent. If only he could hit the back of the net more often we would have the next Thomas Mueller! ?

Therefore you give him game time Don't bet on that as White's gone already, LDV shows what a winger should do. Given the amount of time Gosling spends playing international football for a micky mouse country he's turning into being a poor signing. Anyway using your logic if we'd got Easter on loan and he'd scored a first half hay trick you'd then sub him at half time to give Taylor game time! Tuesday's crunch time for DC, fail to win that one and 2 wins out of 10 league games is simply not good enough.

Disappointing to lose a two goal lead but we played well today. Blisset and Taylor could be a good combination as they pulled Chester all over the place.
Chester though we're probably one of the best sides I've seen this season. Played it on the ground and looked useful. Remember they had won there last 4 at home and unbeaten in 6.
Need Trotman back McCrystal is to slow, shame Turley was an injury case, because somebody with a little speed in the middle would make heck of a difference. Sinclair his usual excellent self. Lockyer sound but wish he could learn to pass, plus gets a nosebleed if over the halfway line.
Della Verde sub was a little strange, but panic defence was the reason we let in two.
All in all a great game and good advert for the conference. We will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.

Please dont use facts like they've won last 4 at home, or speak with knowledge of actually watching the game Many on here wont be able to cope with such frippery
