Bristol Academy tonight drew 1-1 with Barcelona to go through 2-1 on aggregate to the Champions League Quarter Final. A simply astonishing achievement by the club with the smallest budget last year in the WSL. Well done!

It's a funny thing really. This team now plays in an 82 kit and plays its big games at Ashton Gate. I am afraid I cannot wish them any success whatsoever. Same goes for Bristol Rugby.

I suppose that from Lansdowne's point of view, at least he has one of his teams successfully playing in Europe. They're probably trailblazing for the 82'ers, who are still flexing their muscles and considering their options no doubt.
