I like that formation however as its an away game I think DC will go for the slightly more traditional 4-4-2.
Which means White on the bench again!

Why drop our captain after one silly mistake and play Leadbitter after loads of mistakes, no logic in that decision.
I'd put Taylor or Harrison on the wing rather than change the 4-4-2 formation which has worked well away from home lately.

I'd go with a 3-5-2 the same formation that we played at Lincoln.

Can't see how you can drop Brunt after yesterdays performance for Cunnington who has done nothing for weeks now. As regards McCrystal he is an accident waitin g to happen every match and allows the ball to bounce too often and then get beaten for pace. His mistake yesterday was unforgiveable and was a schoolboy error , in fact it was worse than that . Tranmere would not have scored without that and as regards them being one of the worst FL sides-that they may be based on the table but they had drawn their last three games under a new manager and the improvements that generally brings. Certainly the results of other Conference teams yesterday would indicate that there is very little difference between the leagues.

Agree - front three of White Cunnington and Taylor really is not going to put the fear of God into any defence! At least Brunt and Harrison have scored a handful of goals in the FL... Give them a go together

You're contradicting yourself there as if Tranmere were incapable fo scoring without the pen they most be pretty poor for a Div 2 team? I guess they are at a similar level to us last season and whilst our defence as remained virtually the same we're simply shocking up front. Apart from the pen we've gone a 120 mins with MM in the side w/o conceding a goal so he can't be doing too bad.

Not a contradiction at all because we played very well and we held them very well. The only problem was McCrystals lack of pace and i would place him as very similar to Adam Barrett when he played for us- an accident waiting to happen. Trotman had pretty well enabled us to cut out these "errors" and the last time we were really making them was at the beginning of the season when McCrystal was playing ie Altringham where he was responsible for both their goals. We are a goalscorer away from being a very good "Conference" side or an average League 2 side.

We've conceded one goal in a game & half since MM returned so his lack of pace isn't costing us goals, even if his stupidity did yesterday.
Being a goalscorer short of a good team is where we've been for the last three & half seasons, if we don't find one soon, or at least learn to score more goals, we could well be stuck in the Conference for years.

"We're a decent striker away from making the play offs". "We're a goalscorer away from doing this", We're only a player short of a team that can make that". No, we're not. I think season after season after season of hearing you say it has proved it just isn't true.

What's the fascination with putting Leadbitter back in the team, if he'd stayed on the pitch re FGR we may well have won?

LJG, But if you have a goalscorer you kill off teams you are leading by one goal and you win some of the games you are drawing. At the moment nobody looks like scoring consistently even in games like Saturday which we dominated. The trouble has been we have not in the last five seasons gone out and signed the player that would make the difference when we were doing quite well. We always wait until we are struggling and then go out and have trouble getting the player or players we need.
