Barnet have both - a striker scoring consistently and goals across the team.
Take Akinde's 12 league goals away and they have still would have scored 10 more than us, and more than every other team in the league bar Grimsby.

I think his goals have been influential, so he has scored at important times to put his team ahead. He is noticeable. And in a winning team at top. If we stop Akinde at end of the month, we should not lose. Simples! (?)

Has Jamie Lucas really been considered as he has had loan experience at Weston Super Mare. He works really hard at his game and can do a job at this level I reckon. An fashioned type centre forward and a good goals record at youth level.

An fashioned type centre forward and a good goals record at youth level. I don't think now is the time to be experimenting like that. Just as it wasn't the time to experiment with him last season in a relegation battle after he'd just come back from a broken foot. I'll never forgive Clarke that.

Does anyone know who the three players DC has bid for ? He's kept his cards pretty close to his chest but given his transfer record so far, suspect they'd be below us rather than in a higher league

I suggested Bennett to the club years ago when he was breaking scoring records at Andover, and then two years ago, and now through Padstow, and still nothing.
Forget the age, the guy is a natural goalscorer and would score goals at a higher level for certain.

Rickie Lambert wasn't 32 or coming from semi-professional football, Padstow. We were in the same division when they bought him. It's a weak comparison. Paterson is 25 and has never played for Kilmarnock. He was released by Aldershot last season. He's never scored many goals anywhere until now.He might be worth a look, or it might be a case of picking a different random name from the top scorers chart. I stand corrected on Patterson he was at Dunfermline in their youth set up and was taken by Southampton at 16 or 17.Played 17 games for Southampton as a teenager and score 2 then went on loan to Southend where he scored 6 times in 15 games he also scored 7 times in 30 games for Burton, mostly as a substituts ans more recently 4 in 14 for Aldershot, which compared with our strike force is prolific. As for Bennett he has a record of scoring 20 plus per season at Conference South so its not a massive leap, give him an 18 month contract with an option to extend,we have nothing to lose and everything to gain,as his chairman said at the weekend he is astonished no one from a higher division has come in for him 16 goals already and the season not half over, nearly as many as the entire Rovers team

Hi Mark i went to watch him and Patterson on Sunday and he looked the business one on one with the keeper no problem in the net it goes,my suggestion to DC would be to take both of them and to sweeten the pill offer any 2 from Taylor,White and Lucas till the end of the season

Matt Harrold has been placed on the transfer list by Creepy Crawley, that didn't last long.

Yes he is more of a goal threat than anything we have at present
