...should never be compromised in the running and professional conduct of our beloved club.
Otherwise we can't distinguish right from wrong.
When does it become right to ban a fan from the ground whom helps pay the wages of a convicted (I want to say murderer, but that is inaccurate and libelous) death causer, because his lesser crime was to invade a playing surface?
Crazy!
If we do sign Hughes, it's double standards with the dealing of Pipe, and complete hypocrisy for all those whom booed him when he played at the Mem.

i dont want hughes but hes served his sentence so dont object to him playing pro football,,,pipe was i believe employed by rovers when he committed his crime so he brought the club into disrepute and couldnt work for rovers as he was going to prison and therefore was sacked[correct me if thats wrong]

So where does the moral high ground begin and end then? The club allowed a convicted Pedophile to hold a season ticket for decades that was talked about on here recently, there is another one in the post this week that taught at our school who has been convicted this week and I have seen the bloke at countless games over the years, this was predatory and premeditated sick behaviour and actions, subsequently I am close friends with someone who killed someone by mistake in self-defence, someone who had chronic addictions and had also committed some other serious assault related misdemeanors, as the law gave him a second opportunity to rehabilitate himself he took it with both hands and over the past decade has proven himself to be an exceptional human being who has shown remorse and completely turned his life around, those close to him forgave his actions and he has repaid people close to him with endless acts of kindness. I find cries of murderer at Lee Hughes cringeworthy, those that do it should be housed in a new stand called the 'holier than thou' stand or maybe 'whiter than white stand' or maybe 'I am perfect and have never ever hurt another human being ever stand' ok a bit unrealistic as Higgs has shown himself incapable of building any kind of stand, thankfully the law allows people a second chance, particularly for those who had no intention of killing in the first place.

How's your horse? High is it? Obviously too high for you to get on, shipmate! You can have your opinion, and I will have mine, but why split the camp up with this contentious signing? Especially at a time when the gap between supporters and club is at it's most tender?

Pipe was applauded by some in the Dribuild recently so maybe some believe in giving someone a second chance or maybe I'm just a bit too liberal! Don't get me started on Pipe being applauded by our fans. He fractured the skull of an innocent man in an unprovoked attack whilst contracted to the club. I'm not suggesting he should have been subject to abuse but to applaud him is quite unbelievable and shameful. Football really does attract some thick people.

The amount of people that applauded him before and after the FGR game was unbelievable. I just stood there in shock.

Maybe something to do with too much testosterone, violence, driving like a twat.

I'm not agreeing with the Hughes signing one bit, but on the other hand if he plays his best for the Rovers scores goals what's the problem? two or three goals and dancing in front of the blackthorn and people will forget all about it.
