Grimsby won 1:0 at Braintree tonight. They had five players booked, including ex-Rovers Craig Disley and Harry Pell. The goal was scored by John-Lewis. Grimsby have moved into second place, with 33 points, having played one game more than Rovers.

We've dropped a place - what are the Board doing about it? Could they not have foreseen this and taken some action? Another example of the failure of this BoD. Sack 'em all.

Tough place to go Braintree, good result that.
Grimsby concern me somewhat. The way things are going, they look the most likely to catch Barnet first

A few weeks ago it was Torquay, then it was Woking, then Wrexham, then Gateshead who were the teams we needed to worry about. if we keep winning scrappy 1 - 0s we won't have to worry about anyone else at all. Assuming Barnet slip up, any team on a good run will catch them, including Rovers.

I actually tend to agree but have a feeling that this could be Grimsby just warming up and intending to stay for the duration. You are correct on present evidence however - nobody has shown the type of consistency needed to stay at the very top and a continuation of Rovers' form over the past dozen games or so will see us right enough

He was tiresome to say the least. Talking of ''foreign'' posters, whatever happened to the Lincoln City fan who used to post on here? He had a good angle on most things, and seemed very knowledgeable. Just a shame that he supported LCFC, eh? From memory he went quiet when we beat them up there.

The raft of other conference supporters posting here to "tell us how it is" got tedious very quickly - instantly in fact.

It didn't seem to happen when we were in the Football League, or did it? It's the noisy neighbour syndrome.

And you might also add any that may come from Belgium as well. Seems to have gone quiet on that front.

You're quite right matealotblue, it has gone very quiet, particularly since he said that he was such a fan of BRFC. I hope that it's not a case of hook, line and sinker for us. Has anyone checked out the other mobs forum, just to see like?
