From Sam Elliott at the NLP...
"Aldershot Town top scorer Brett Williams, who scored 24 league goals last season and seven already this term, has been transfer listed"
Worth a cheeky bid.

I didn't think he was very impressive against us the other week although he did score his penalty. But his record suggests he's worth a look.
Funny time to go on the list though so perhaps he has something lined up?

I will let the manager choose rather than the fans, then we have someone to moan at when they are crap!

I don't know how effective any forward is going to be when our midfield looks like a polo mint.

Am I missing something but isn't the transfer window closed unitl January?
How can we sign Willaims before then?
What's the point of transfer listing a player nobody can sign for a couple of months?

Williams is not on the transfer list according to the Aldershot Manager.....
Following recent speculation, Vanarama Conference club Aldershot Town can confirm that striker Brett Williams has not been placed on the transfer list.
Manager Andy Scott said: “I don’t know where that rumour has come from, but it certainly isn’t the case. Brett has not been put on the transfer list, and if he had, I’m sure that someone would have bought him immediately. A few people out there are trying to mischievous. “We’re very happy with the way the squad is beginning to come together, especially with a few new signings, and we’re looking forward to pushing into the top half of the table over the course of the season. Brett will be a vital part of that.” Williams will be part of the Shots’ squad which faces Portsmouth in the FA Cup at Fratton Park on Sunday.

In the modern world does the transfer list actually mean anything? Seems almost like a quaint throwback really. Seriously I'm not sure the transfer list has actually mattered for about 20 years - at least not since the full force of Bosman kicked in.
