....today, now, on October 26th 2014, would you swap Martin Allen for Daryl Clarke?
That is only swap allowed. Apart from reasonable management accompaniment.
I say.......NO!

It ain't gonna happen in any way, shape or form, because for better or worse we're all in for the long haul, and there is no getting off or going back. It may work out well for all of us, but then again it may not. The reason being is that the manager is under contract to BRFC till the end of this season. It'll be much cheaper to pat him on the back, or the alternative, come next May.

You could widen the choice of alternative managers a bit! But in answer to your question yes I probably would.

Read an interesting article on Barnet in Non league football newspaper today. They had their lowest crowd of only just over 1000 recently. Their Chairman is perplexed at why they got their lowest crowd of the season when they are riding high. Many Barnet fans apparently unhappy at paying £20 to watch Conference football particularly as it 7 miles from their former home at Underhill.

Can we ask one question before deciding, what is Barnet's wage budget compared to ours? If it's equal or less than ours you'd have to say Allen is doing a better job, although you sense yet another managerial change is the last thing we need at present.

No. Darrell Clarke is a work in progress, and I think that as he improves he will take us with him, and there will be long term benefits. Whereas Mad Dog is more of a short term solution, who ends up falling out with everybody.
