Jason was on Fantasy Football (Sky Sports) this weekend. I only briefly caught the show but it was nice of him to say that Rovers were the club that developed him the most (whilst reeling off the endless list of strikers that we had during his period!) and that Ollie was the most enjoyable/eccentric manager he had played under.
One negative, Fantasy Football indicated on screen that John Ward as our manager between 1998/2000! Not sure how you can get that one wrong, especially as Jase was talking about Ollie and Rovers at the same time...

Thanks for the heads up - I'll catch this on one of the repeat showings.

I wonder if he chose any Rovers players in his Dream Team?

Olly said in his book that Penrice should take a lot of the credit for the player that Roberts turned out to be. After training one day when he was going through a bad patch he took him to one side and drummed & rammed everything he knew into him, they were at it for hours, days & weeks, long after everyone had gone. This went on for ages 1 0n 1 training, since then Jasons performances only got better & better. And it was mostly down to Penrice.

Perhaps Stewie can take a leaf from Pennys book and take Taylor off to one side for a bit of 1 on 1 on how to hit a cows ass with a double bass

I wonder if he chose any Rovers players in his Dream Team? He picked Ellington but I think that was more for their Wigan days together. Still, he gave a good mention to Rovers for signing him for such a low price.
