No - I don't see why we should cater for a player who is struggling for form especially if he considers himself an out and out striker. If we can bring in an out and out striker who can find the net to replace him then I'd bench him, until then we will have to make do. Don't agree with covering gaps where there aren't players to do the job, bring in someone who can.

Purely and simply the bloke is not good enough. He doesnt deserve a place in the team. We cannot afford to carry a player on the off chance of being awarded a penalty. Thats what happened in Trickie Dickie Walkers last season here.
I know what you mean, but Walker only started one match in that season after November, so I think Trolls was relatively decisive considering what a great season he'd had when we got promoted. Amazing to think he was keeping Lambert out of the team at times at the start of 07/08. We have to find a regular scorer from somewhere. It's a miracle we are where we are in the league given the lack of goals, so we need to capitalise on this and strengthen the squad now. We need someone who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and give us a bit of personality up front. They don't grow on trees at this level, though.....

He isn't quick, and can't beat a man, he's easily bullied off the ball and we've got lots of other options to play in midfield. If all he offers is work-rate I'd stick him on the bar in the Clubhouse. I think he could be a good finisher and if we were creating lots of chances in the box he'd be useful. We're not, so he isn't.. . . and in the meantime what about Angelo Balanta? I seem to remember that when we signed him he was advertised as a striker, a striker that was not match fit it's true, but he was/is a striker which is exactly what we require at the present time. Unfortunately for all concerned he picked up an injury whilst attempting to get into shape . . . and the paper trail runs out. But surely he must be somewhere near being fit enough to at least warm the bench by now? Has anyone heard anything positive about the player's fitness, and when he is likely to feature? Whilst we're on the subject of injuries (and if anyone's interested), Jamie Turley missed last Saturdays match for Eastleigh, due to injury. So our new ''Only Sign 'Em If They're Fit And Ready To Play'' policy (to avoid paying huge amounts of money to players, whilst they sit at home twiddling their thumbs), is proved to be at least partially successful.
