With Halifax losing today and barnet and Gateshead both drawing I feel frustrated with dropping two points again (Dover) with the extra 4 points from those two games we would be top now! Ok not on goal difference but we would of started to pull clear with barnet. Good point away today though and that's 9 unbeaten but if we can be a bit more clinical then this league is winnable with a few more decent signings. UTG

So what are the odds of ITV West showing anything from this game as it is a positive story as opposed to the wall to wall publicity they managed on a negative story. Can't hide behind the "TV rights" lie now. Double standards.

We're missing out on vital points because of our inability to convert goalscoring chances into goals. This will hurt us badly the longer that the season goes on, but I'm quite certain that I'm not the only person to realise this.

On my way back from the Shots and feel frustrated! A Terrible miss in a Terrible performance from Dave Martin. Mildy Trots Brown and Lockyear all decent. The rest were poor monkhouse and Martin Shocking! Badly missed Sinclair and Starting to feel for Harrison. I think Darrel has to Swallow his pride and Sign a Striker asap, And put Martin in the post Asap! Generally poor and weak but not helped by the now Standard pantomime Officials.
However were unbeaten in 9 despite all the above and that is something to be pleased about and give Credit for. But if we want top spot we need to strengthen with 2-3 decent players Asap. We could and should of been joint top tonight... UTG

Wasn't there, but a point on the road is never too shabby. Yes according to the table they're not a great side but Woking I believe are second and they just looked like a bunch of cloggers to me.
It's a long season and we don't want to peak too soon.

Just got home.
I would describe this as a SOFT game.
2 soft penalties - both totally unnecessary. There was no one anywhere near Parkes when he handled. He was right in front of the linesman - who flagged vehemently. The referee took a few seconds to give it - probably because he couldn't believe that anyone could be so stupid. Their handball was almost as pathetic. Our first goal was soft - a lucky rebound off a defender giving the goalie no chance. We gave away a soft and unnecessary free kick for their second goal. They had a soft sending off for 2 soft bookings.
Either side could have won, but neither side deserved to.
There was precious little skill - especially from us. We created next to nothing. Hoof ball was the order of the day - which isn't so clever when Mattie T is one of your strikers - he deserves better service. We won very few second balls, and the midfield was not very competitive. Every time we tried something clever - we gave it away. Our free kicks were horrendous. You'd think they might work on this in training, but no sign of it today. No MOTM for me, because no one deserved it.
Thankfully, they were as crap as we were, and we came away with a point.

Not sure why fans think DC can just go out and sign a new striker better than we've got already when the transfer window is closed, so all he can sign are unwanted strikers on loan.

Apart from the bit about the penalties this makes it sound like the performance against Dartford all over again.

A almost ok performance today. You can see them trying to pass it around at times but it often leads to the ball being lost. The good sings are there but just in small moments. Too deep second half. Trotman his usual immense self. Martin predictable and what a miss - wide of wide. Didn;t look like a free kick to me that led to their goal.
A win would have robbed Aldershot today who were dominant in spells. A few bits of quality though and you can see how this team could go from decent to very good.
Aldershot fans were a credit to the Conference despite the drum - Gasheads did little to add to the atmosphere until we went ahead which was disappointing. Had to nod when they sang 'wing when you're winning" as was true but not like us.
Anyway a relief to get a draw and keep the run going as we rode our luck toward the end.

2-1 up and Martin misses an absolute sitter.
All on his own, back post, on his left foot & he drills it over to the corner flag! Really should have hit the target, made it 3-1 and finished it there.
I don't feel we deserved to win the game, but when you have chances like that you really have to take them.

Not a great performance again by the sounds of it but a decent result nonetheless. The strange thing is we don't seem to be performing that well but the league position suggests we may actually be very close to having enough about us to put in a serious challenge to go straight back up.Just a couple of very good signings away maybe? Got high hopes that Belanta will be a stand out player in this league but we'll see soon hopefully.Concerning news about the beard today we can't afford to go any length of time without the presence he brings to the midfield.6 wins and 3 draws now though who'd have thought that after losing to the pub team.

The only we are going to get out of this tinpot league is a "30 goal a season striker".......Taylor will get us 12 if we are lucky....simply not "up to it"..........

Also I know there are a lot of trees around the ground but two urinals for 1200 away fans- what was that all about?

Taylor aways look for the ball into his feet, which normally would be fine but he's so small anything he gets under control he loses. Mainly because he's 5"2 and 65kg's! So easily brushed off the ball it is ridiculous.
I'd like to see him making all his runs into the channels, getting onto the balls played into the space between CB & Full back. He certainly isn't a mark Hughes kind of forward that can play with his back to goal. Zero strength and stature.
Only a matter of time before Harrison or White comes in to start, surely?

Four points off the top with 15 games played, and an unbeaten run of eight games ... COYB!!No match preview on our website. Aldershot however has a very comprehensive write-up: www.theshots.co.uk/preview-aldershot-town-v-bristol-rovers/
There's going to be a huge amped up Gas Army generating a surge of energy at the Electrical Services Stadium, let's give the ohm team a taste of our current form and remain positive. So recharge our batteries and get off to an electrifying start. UTG ohm-y god, how may electrical references can one man get in a sentence? even got current in there
