I'm hopeful DC will start with Ellis and Cunny up top tonight, they impressed in the second half against Eastleigh and I honestly think they could be the partnership to push us on.

Unfortunately I believe that every manager, to an extent, has a favourite player or a player that they have personally invested so much of their reputation in that they continue picking them regardless of form / ability. That player at Rovers is Taylor, at Arsenal as shown on Sunday it ozil.
Taylor up front tonight, hopefully he can find his Chester form.

Spot on, DC brought in Gosling, Taylor and White and will play them so as not to lose face. It happens with so many other mangers, can Marcus Stewart influence things?

Whoever plays up front I hope they score. I have no favorites and just want Rovers (and it's players) to do well.
Players need to work for their positions and be rewarded when they do take their chances mind you.
Ellis has done this and deserves his chance tonight.

If he continues to stick with a non goalscoring Taylor over Harrison, the Blackthorn end will soon let him know about it!
DC certainly doesn't need that, after finally getting most onside in recent weeks. He may have to just bite the bullet soon, goals win football matches & Taylor needs to start getting his name on that sheet!

Gosling and White have been used as bit-part players at best so I don't see how that statement stacks up. Going back to the OP, I have to agree with Ellis/Cunnington attack tonight. Taylor is clearly struggling at the moment, his one-on-one suggested to me he's a bit low on confidence.

Gosling and Taylor have started, I think, the last 4 games, with White being a used sub for 3 of them, but I take the point. We need a settled team, DC is not tinkering so much and hopefully will use Ellis and Cunnington who I am sure could last the whole game, I stood behind the dugout for a bit in the second half at Braintree and he was as fresh as a daisy when he came off.
We need that understanding between players which was not there last Saturday between Puddy and the back four.

Assuming that Will Puddy is playing this evening, that is.
