Second line; comma after "Sure". Final sentence; comma after "person", and shouldn't "send" have been in inverted commas? Oh dear, perhaps I shouldn't have used semi-colons in that manner. All very funny I'm sure, but I'm not getting paid for it and thousands of people around the world aren't googling my comments on here. They may, however, be googling Bristol Rovers and finding that site - their first impression of our club I doubt thousands are reading DC's interview, probably a few hundred at best. After all how many people in the world would have been googling Luton in recent seasons.

threads like this on forums are consistently hilarious.
it's like a s**t tennis match
one person takes time to genuinely post that they feel that proof reading / grammar / sentence construction etc. is poor.
another person then makes corrections on what they have written, as if the OP is incorrect just because they themselves have not been perfect (ON A FORUM, which is a totally different situation to an official public website of a large business).
another then criticises the OP and tells them they should volunteer to do it. 'put up or shut up' etc,
this really helps no-one.
ad nauseam.

That's forums for you. Filled with human beings who have different opinions, different views, and different ways of responding. You can't expect to criticise the club about their grammar/spelling and then not expect to get ribbed about your own grammar/spelling.....
Come on, lighten up, it's nearly the weekend and the Gas are at home!!

The other person was just ribbing the OP as he'd made a couple of mistakes, and shares the views of the OP about the poor grammar on the website. And you're welcome for me helping you out with 'Boorish' on the other thread (weren't me that picked you up on it). Come on Meyhew, as Cheshire says lighten up!

Unfortunately.

Compare it with the new Wycombe thread where buckrippers (the original poster here) is accused of being "thick", and responds with "you are dumb". This thread may not have helped anyone, but it has, at least, kept some of us amused.

I could understand if a lay person made this type of criticism - many of us have, myself included. But given Nick's day job, it is an interesting move. It may have been an attempt to get the job himself - I don't know. It naturally invites close scrutiny of his own submissions; his posts, his blog. Personally, I couldn't give a hoot if the grammar is poor, or the punctuation inaccurate as long as the information is correct, complete and timely.

smashfreakThis ain't about grammar, but pure sloppiness. They'd have found those elementary mistakes themselves if they'd have bothered checking it before putting it out for the world to see; not that many in the world would have seen it mind. Proofreaders don't have to look for mistakes because they hit them in the face.

Matthew 7:3-5 comes to mind!! That's very appropriate CW. Did it take much research, or did you learn it at Bible Class?

If you want to add to this the club said that the official forum was suspended I don't think they know what the word suspended means they have taken it to mean cancelled and deleted if it was suspended it should be back up and running
