Eastleigh chairman Stewart Donald has praised Bristol Rovers' "well-mannered" supporters for the "exemplary" way in which they conducted themselves at Ten Acres on Tuesday night.
Over 1,000 Rovers supporters filled one side of the ground to watch the 1-1 draw amongst what was a new league record 2,621 crowd for Eastleigh.
"I felt compelled to write to Bristol Rovers regarding the conduct of their supporters," Donald said. "It was obviously a huge night for Eastleigh as we knew that largely due to the size of their support we would be expecting a record league attendance.
"Bristol Rovers' supporters could have made this a difficult night for us but quite the contrary behaved in an exemplary manner. They were an absolute credit to the club.
"They arrived in huge numbers, were well mannered and contributed massively to what was a special night for our club. They are used to arriving at better facilities than we are currently able to offer but this presented no issues for them.
"They were understanding, considerate and just supported the team in a well-spirited sporting manner. I would like to pass on our appreciation to all those fans for their conduct."

Stewards were great and fans were really fantastic. The guys in the burger van in our end worked their socks off and were very polite throughout. A nice experience and our fans got behind the team throughout.
