I think you have to try and be fair to referees. Mildenhall may have been unlucky but from where the ref was (which was the right position) it probably looked quite straight forward. Player goes through - goalie comes out - ball goes passed goalie - players collide. Even on 3 or 4 viewings I'd say it was fairly inconclusive. If this was the other way I think we'd be wondering why opposition fans were making such a fuss. Don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of that one being overturned. Equally inconclusive on the Puddy handball shout but looks like we may have gotten away with one there (though as Chewbacca points out he wouldn't have been sent off anyway so the magnitude is not the same).
Clarke's sending off was unneccesary for 2 reasons. Ref made a rod for his own back by booking Clarke for pretty innocuous looking foul in the Eastleigh box - sort of thing referees often do at the end of games perhaps to account for cumulative fouls over the course of the game but it got him in a mess here. However, once on a booking, Clarke was stupid for going in like that especially as they'd have been aware he was on thin ice. Don't think ref had much choice but to give a second yellow for that challenge but it's a soft sending off overall.
