The toughest tour of 'em all starts on Saturday. I can see a 2-1 win for New Zealand. With the 7 players who played in the play-off final missing, and now Danny Care is a big injury doubt, it's going to be even tougher on Saturday. I think NZ will win the first 2, with England winning in Hamilton. Will Greenwood said that his best memory was not the World Cup win, but beating New Zealand, in New Zealand in 2003. That says it all really. Been looking forward to this series for a long time.

Fair play England, I thought we had no chance and despite the result that was some effort from what was far from a full strentgh team.

I doubt many people thought we would take them all the way. The bookies had New Zealand by 21 points. Thought the ref was poor, Nonu should have been Sin-Binned in the 2nd min, Dagg? should have been sin-binned a few mins before Yarde for exactly the same offence not rolling away. We might not have created many chances, but we proved that we will be no push overs. Roll on next Saturday.

Is it paranoia or are all referees (rugby or football) out to get England?

Is it paranoia or are all referees (rugby or football) out to get England? Nigel Owens is one of the best, but we didn't get the 'rub of the green' in this match but I'm sure our Southern Hemisphere cousins would just say we were a bunch of whining Poms. However, in fairness Stuart Lancaster said we didn't lose the game because of the referee but because of our game management and of course he's right, e.g. we just assumed NZ were going to kick for goal for the last penalty and turned our backs when in fact they took a tap penalty, ultimately we paid for a momentarily lack of concentration but we will learn. Considering we were without 6 or 7 normal 1st team players I think there is a lot to be hopeful about with the development of our strength in depth squad, well played England.

So glad he is back. Just goes about his job with little or no fuss, a totally class act, and exactly how a professional sportsman should conduct himself.

spot on rex, cant believe he barely gets a mention in the press, fantastic player best ive seen since martin johnson imo True but I think you will find Courtney Lawes will probably take his place in the 2nd Test, he's a monster of a fella, as hard as nails, good round the park, excellent in the loose and an absolute nuisance in the maul, he's pretty damn good in the line out as well. I also thought James Haskell played as well in an England shirt as I've ever seen him and Tuilagi was sensational. Eastman I also thought played well but lacks the extra kicking dimension that Twelvetrees would have given us. The whole England pack played extremely well and augurs well for competition in all places. We desparately need to find a world class winger from somewhere. I'll be pleased if we can come away with a win from either of the two internationals.

cant see how they drop burns, what did he do wrong ? It seems that since Flood has gone Farrell has been considered pretty much first choice if he is fit and available, and to be fair to him he has put in some great kicking displays, especially at the start of his England career, although there have been a few wobbly moments since. After the performance of the 'under strength' side last week , I would say most of those players deserve a chance this week, and I would certainly include Burns in that. Lets hope a bit of nepotism isn't creeping into the England camp.

Despite the score line suggesting a close game I think that game shows that when NZ start playing, we struggle to live with them. One thing for England though, Ashton can finish, I know he isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if he could get back to the form he was in at the start of his England career, he would be a real asset.
