Good to see and hear you! So like the flag! It sounded like you were actually really scouse and not faking the accent! But would love to know: where oh where did the beer come from in the second half? !!!!

I remember last season an exiled Rovers fan in Liverpool brought down a group of 15-20 work colleagues for a home match. He'd been talking about about his team so much the Everton & Liverpool fans agreed to come and check us out. Wonder if this is the same group? Can't remember which home game it was they came to, if it was them maybe they've picked up the bug! What was the flag then? Did they wear Everton & Liverpool tops? Any unusual songs?

They had flag that was Rovers but when looked closely there were Everton and Liverpool emblems. Quite fitting for the Merseyside derby. They were loud and trying to get us all singing but very few songs caught on all day! They were just bags of fun and obviously up for partying so tried to great that atmosphere. I've travelled away for years. Although I certainly wouldn't claim to know everyone, you do see faces if you travel regularly. I didn't recognise them. I didn't see any other football tops in our end. They nay have been worn, but I didn't see them. I think it's nice supporters from other clubs come and cheer us on. Not just watch, actually get involved.. Hats off to Gas from places other than Bristol and surroundeds!

On the radio they mentioned that Southport resident Mark Lawrenson was in the stand.
Not sure whether he is a regular there, or came along because he gained Rovers acquaintances from his time in media apprenticeship with HTV West. I did think it was strange being there when there was a big local derby, featuring his former club, just down the road.

He is a quirky fella, so maybe it fits with his persona not to go with the obvious. He seen a goal worthy of rivalling Jagielka effort, though. But ultimately, he must regret the choice he made as our game wasn't exactly exciting for the neutral! Still can't work out where that beer came from!!!!!

I was stood next to the noisy scousers and they mentioned that they support 3 teams, Liverpool, England and the away team that play Southport. I don't think they had anything to do with the Mersey gas flag.

Hopefully convert a few tomorrow as I'm bringing down some lads from our base in lulworth. A manc, Baggie and a smoggy. Clearly all used to watching a better standard of football so hopefully our fans will give them the gas bug! Will be in the cricketers from 5 as we are going AWOL from work!
