Brunt on loan list at his own request. As long as someone is paying a fair whack of his wages, not a problem.

So what is the difference between Balanta and Turley? 'both' apparently not fit, yet we are willing to pay wages to one and not the other?

There's a huge difference between having an injury and not being match fit. Balanta has picked up his injury in training where as Turley had a pre-existing injury. Balanta when signed was injury free but not match fit.

I hate to say it, but it is now clear that Ryan Brunt will not feature for Rovers in the forseeable future. He has reiterated that he is not injured in any way - such a shame that he isn't part of the managers plans.
I hope for both parties that a loan deal is fixed up asap and we can all move on.

Meanwhile we sign somebody who hasn't played a competitive match for 18 months, whilst advising somebody who is reasonably fit, Brunt, to find a new club. It could only happen at Rovers.

Next step is he gets loaned to a competitor in our own league and starts banging in the goals left, right and centre.

So a broken arm isn't a pre-existing injury? I don't really get what you mean... Balanta wasn't injured he's picked one up which, happens and Brunt needs cutting off asap IMO.

Agree with Chewbacca here. Balanta is a player who hasn't played for a year and is therefore not match fit, but that isn't the same as being injured like Turley is/was. Just because he isn't match fit doesn't mean it's the same as signing a 'crocked' player. Unfortunately he has now picked up a knock, which happens occasionally, and we'll just have to wait for him to return.
Turley was coming back from injury and our medical team were not convinced his arm had healed sufficiently. It would have been stupid to sign a player our medical team were not fully satisfied was fit.
Yes, he has now signed for Eastleigh, who clearly don't entertain the concerns we have. They have the money to be able to take a gamble on a player should their owner want to and that's what they've done.
With Brunt he says he's fully fit and injury free but in the appearances he has made this season he has looked so immobile and slow that he doesn't warrant a place in the team. Perhaps his new fitness levels post-injury are such that he will never return to the player we saw when he first signed and can no longer play the role Adam Cunnington plays. That's not to say he won't go elsewhere and perform well but it's by no means a certainty. I hope he does because he's a great lad but I wouldn't be playing him in our side at the moment as other players offer more. Also, we didn't tell him to go - he's asked for a loan move away and we've accepted it.

anyone know what type of injuries monkhouse and trotman have? Don't know. The club have been tight lipped on this - I sense it may be DC's policy not to reveal this information. Would be very handy to have both available for selection on Saturday.

DC mentioned in one interview that Trotman had a "niggle" and wasn't going to be risked Saturday. No point risking players when you have Tom Lockyer who can cover and was excellent.

I was a little surprised to read in today's edition of the Bristol Post, that . . . I thought that when he signed-up, it for the rest of the season. Does anyone remember?

There are too many examples of players leaving because they don't make the grade who go on to play for teams above us - Williams at Swindon for instance
