Didn't do enough last night? Sorry, I don't really get that. Does he have to come on a score every time? I thought he led the line well, looked after the ball, and managed to create a couple of half chances. The game had been won at that point and he was probably told not go out all guns blazing, just slow down the game and try and create chances if and when he could. Thought he did well. I do not expect him to score each time, I appreciate being an 'impact' player is quite a burden and carries heavy expectations and Ellis appears to be coping well.

I thought he did ok when he came on, fashioned a half chance for himself and nearly scored. Also won a fair bit in the air and held up the ball well. He was brought on to do Cunnington's job and did ok.

Personally I would start him against Woking, not impressed with Cunnington and Ellis has looked sharp when he has come off the bench and therefore should be given a start.

Stays on the bench for me, especially considering that last night was one of the first times that we'd finally managed to start playing the way we've been threatening all season with Taylor and Cunnington taking the defenders wide to allow in the wingers. Would I have brought on Ellis sooner? Probably, but he's going to be the ideal player to bring on when the defenders start to tire.

'Impact' players should make an impact, but if is role was to do Cunnington's job then fine.
I actually think Cunnington is also improving.

Ellis did a great job when he came on and contributed a big part of Goslings goal with a lovely Lambert style ball inside as we broke forward. Cunnington wins a lot in the air and with a bit of luck could have scored 2 or 3. Taylor is also a very lively striker. At this level we seem to have decent central striking options, even without Brunty.

We win 3-1 and fans are still saying drop one of our two strikers for a player who showed no real interest in being here last season? I'd say DC's got this one spot on so far.
