In the last 2 games he has won us 4 points single handily. Surely the best keeper in the Conference!! I haven't seen a better one, or expect to.

I said as much on the non league forum before the start of the season, they had a thread about who will be the best goalkeeper in 2014/15, lots of names mentioned, but I advised them of our jewel in our defensive crown, in fairness to the posters on that forum I had a few agreeing with me about Steve, he's a great keeper at this level!!!

Top keeper who has rarely let us down since he signed for us. Promotion teams need a good solid keeper and we have one of the best

I haven't seen a better one, or expect to. he won us 30 last season and we probably would of been down by Christmas if it wasn't for him. Still can't believe he stayed with us but then again goalkeepers do like us! |

The save he made against Wrexham at 1-0 saved us 2 points. The late late save he made today saved another 2. thus, single handily saving us the points. 2 Excellent saves too. Of course he is one of, if not the highest paid player, he was signed to a league team. The majority weren't. |

I wouldn't have blamed him if he hadn't stayed with us (although I'd have been disappointed), but I wasn't surprised by him sticking it out - he doesn't seem the type to shy away from a challenge. One of the many reasons why he's my favourite player. |

He is a legend in my eyes, if you stand behind him you can see him kicking every ball for the team and when it is down to him he never lets us down.

I love mildy, a great keeper for this level and i love his passion. A very nice bloke too.

one of the best shot stoppers around.
i wish he was better in the air, but then again if he was he wouldn't be playing in non-lge.
suspect he is being paid quite a lot, so as someone else wrote, nice to see some earning big money who is committed, professional, and pretty good at his job.

For me, its the fact that he wanted to stay with us is was I appreciate the most.
He is one of the very few players in our squad who should be playing in a higher league.

I gave him a hug last season!
It was said on radio commentary he made a last kick of the game save, final whistle blew, he ran to our supporters to celebrate the win!
Top man.
Simply the best 'keeps we have had for a long time in ability and character, in my opinion..

Very important player for us had he played at Barnet we could have been much higher up the table lets hope he can maintain his present form and stay injury free you build from the back gives our defence confidence having him behind them we need to push on now 2home games who knows where we could be at the end of September utg |

The radio Lincolnshire commentators were constantly criticising him for failing to step outside the 6 yard box to claim crosses.
Did anyone who watched the game think the criticism was warranted?

Very pleased to see he is enjoying his football the last few weeks. Against Altrincham he looked despondent and wouldn't have been surprised if he had quit the game that very night!
