I have added this song in the past having only recently discovered it on Spotify.
Mother of Pearl by Roxy Music.
This live performance was added a few months back and is worth a look.
What a cool front man. Love the Tux. Great song, one of my current favourites how it slips into the 2nd part of the song.
Ferry is superb.

When punk came along they rubbished pretty much everything that was around in the 70's... apart from Roxy Music. Even the later, less edgy stuff like Flesh & Blood and Avalon were terrific...

I had a binge of albums from the start the other day while working from home, got through the first 4 albums, didn't realise Out of the Blue instrumental section was in Forrest Gump, the bit where she climbs on the balcony drugged up. Love the Avalon album and their cover of Jealous Guy. Their only number 1.

And here's one for Gasheads. RIP IT UP AND START AGAIN Edwin Collins Edwyn with a "y". (Sorry, it's part of my OCD). I bought "You can't hide your love forever". An ex-girlfriend threw it in the dustbin. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Just looked it up and it doesn't have "Rip it Up" on there. Weird. That was actually on their second album, released the same year. I reckon I bought the wrong album by mistake. Anyway the album I bought does have a great track called "Felicity" - marvellously covered by the Wedding Present. Writing in Today's Tune makes me a lot less angry than Gas Guzzler at the moment.

Yep and when i wrote it i knew it was a 'y'. Girl Like You is a great song, not very aware of much else of theirs/his. Music rarely makes me angry
