Washington Football Team ,, very original, think this is temporary and will be possibly changing at a later date after further negotiations and talks with owners and NFL

Lush song. One of their last good songs before Barso left. Just a typical later Madness track. Underrated, very simple and amazing live with the crowd singing Do-da-do at the end. Love it, love it, love it. Great video as ever. 1983. Production is so tight from Langer and Winstanley, Madness were at their peak.

Saw this at the time and my Dad taped it on video, it was a brave thing to do to sing about Lennon in NY in Sep 1981, only 9 months after he died.
To me it showed the outpouring of grief and tributes from his very talented peers who were still clearly in shock.
Simon does well to end the song but the confrontation clearly shakes him.
It's a lovely song and the crowd reaction is great. This concert is on Spotify as an album, absolutely brilliant.
Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of the stand out performances of all time from AG. You see PS in the background on the footage, he has admitted to being jealous of AGs plaudits and adulation once stating 'hey that was my song man' but he just let him get on with it. Simon wrote it but Art nailed it. Unbelievable live.
Super talented guys.

Surely if you'd got as far as that and wanted to land a punch... you would? The intruder is then neatly picked up without much fuss and because it's right at the end of the verse, PS just carries on. Maybe it's just me and my cynical nature... Paul Simon - agreed, a very talented song-writer. There's a clip where he's asked about co-writing with Art Garfunkel and he reacts pretty badly! Can't find it... very funny though.

The guy says 'I gotta talk to you ' You can imagine the security around that time after what happened. McCartney didn't perform live until Live Aid 85 because of Lennon.

In that case I shall follow up with more unusual use of brass instruments in a "rock & pop" record... St Vincent: Digital Witness. I thought she was going to break into the big time, never really did though. Great video.
