I believe the manager has a non league mentality. His background is non league. He signs a lot of non league players so what do we expect this season. A non league squad and team. It is frightening how low we have dropped in the last 2 seasons. I am embarrassed as a Rovers supporter. Poor attitude from all of the management including the BOD. The only thing which is league standard are the fans. If we don't do something very quickly we will be a forgotten force very soon and without UWE a truly non league club where I see no future. So very sad.

When Luton finally got a non-league mentality they got promotion back to the football league. We have been in decline for years now, things were never going to change in a matter of 2 summer months and all of sudden we would be in the top 3 tonight. It would be a fantastic achievement to get promotion after 3 seasons, but it's more likely going to be 5 years minimum especially if things don't change off the pitch and the UWE dream is over. I feel sorry for DC because he doesn't deserve to be peoples punch bag for the upset and anger we are all feeling.

We've gone from a football league club with a non-league mentality, to a non-league club with a downs league mentality. Don't forget to show your appreciation to our glorious leaders, because let's never forget - we wouldn't be here without them! Thank you chairman Higgs and BoD, our beloved, dear, supreme leaders...thanks a million.
Tossers.

Look, we are where we are. I have sort of accepted we will be down in this division for years. Some of you should! It ain't easy, cause every defeat at the mo,against particularly against part time teams, is like another kick in the b***lcks! The sooner we as a club and fans accept where we are, we can possibly move upwards and onwards! What choice do we have?!?

Still think our older fans are having trouble accepting where we are, and I can see why!
Look back in history and see the many great games we have competed in. Look at the crowds we've played infront of. Even last season our best games for atmosphere were v City & Portsmouth. This is what we miss most!
If Higgs & Co had a plan to ruin this club from top to bottom, it's been the best executed plan in the world.

Westcountry, if you and the other apologists for our start to the season want to use Luton as an example of a club who struggled to come to terms with the Conference in the way we are, I seriously think you ought to check their record. After three consecutive relegations ending in the Conference (swifter and greater decline than us) and just a matter of 2 summer months they were 2nd after 7 matches (unbeaten on 15pts) and finished 2nd, losing in the playoffs. The next year they finished 3rd and lost on penalties in the play off final. The next year they also made the play off final. Sounds to me that they got the non-league mentality immediately, unlike us. I'd be happy with that inability to come to terms with this division. Comparing what has happened so far this season with Luton is at best laughable, at worst bordering on delusional.

Said it before, the remarkable thing about Rovers is that it took the football team so long to reach the level that the rest of the club had been run at for years.
