Everton's John Stones will make his first start for England in Wednesday's friendly against Norway at Wembley.
Five players in manager Roy Hodgson's side are aged 22 or under.
His line-up is: Joe Hart, John Stones, Phil Jones, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney.
Uncapped midfielder Jack Colback is out because of injury and forward Danny Welbeck was hurt in training.
Goalkeeper Ben Foster has returned to club West Brom as a "precautionary measure" after suffering a thumb injury in training.
The problem suffered by Welbeck on Tuesday - a day after he completed his £16m move from Manchester United to Arsenal - means he is not expected to feature.
The other uncapped players in the squad - Calum Chambers, Danny Rose and Fabian Delph - are on the bench.

Not a great game, but at least Sterling looks lively and dangerous

Didn't watch the game as I was at a gig but I assume England didn't play quickly and if he played a flat 442 that's guff.

I am getting fed up with Wilshere. Is this guy ever going to deliver? Typical of this country to build someone up as the next best thing when he isn't actually very good!

I thought he was one of our better players in the first half, there were plenty worse than him, the worst of all being our new captain!!!

Blimey - I'm amazed anyone watched it! I find all debates about the England team are like re-arranging deckchairs on the . We are just not very good - we could resurrect Alf Ramsey to manage the current England team and we'd still be not very good. We're not one or two changes away from being decent we're a whole generation away. You can argue about 4-5-1 4-4-2, where Rooney should play, if Lambert should start, all of it. But those are debates that assume that we're starting from a good base - I don't see that at all. If we switched tactics it would take the opposition about 10 minutes to figure it out and shut us down again. We lack quality everywhere on the pitch and it looks like we lack motivation too now.
