 Great article.Our ground is crap compared to nearly every other but I feel comfortable there.I went to this dump last week with escalators and proper catering,toilets and disabled facilities!!!! Been promised better since 1960 but well,I now know it won't happen but there is a verse in the New Testament which says ,'Whatsoever state I find myself in, I find myself therewith to be content'. Paul was chained in prison when he wrote that so I will not envy Spurs I have decided!!!!!!!!!! In the far off days of yesteryear,Geoff Dunford told us at an open day ,the Dribuild Stand would be extended the full length of the pitch and around where the South Tent was!!!! The most irritating phrase was 'We can't disclose the new stadium plans due to a confidentiality agreement' .Make good politicians!!!!! |

Thanks for posting.
A good read and the author reflects how I see football. It’s good to be enchanting and quirky (though he didn’t use that word). Although I guess he was lucky in that it was a sunny August day with blue sky and a feel good atmosphere helped by a last minute winner. And I presume he may not have needed to go to the toilets. (Although with young children he probably did and he still wrote positively.)
