Next month.Last time I went there ,Snakey scored the winner in the last minute and Jermaine Easter was sent off.Their stand was condemned as unsafe but they made money by selling advertising space. Lots of improvements since so looking forward to our return.

Field Mill ... A notorious graveyard up until our 1990 promotion season, I think we rolled one in for a canny 1-0 win and mixed fortunes in last 30 years ..
I saw us draw up there with David Clarkson once
Then again more recently, a first game of season drew out their finest pre and post match made it interesting if you enjoyed the by standing 70/80/90s phenomenon.
Good old club I bear them no ill as they sent us out of the league, save a few that ganged up with the other lot that dark day ... But true club and true fans that have bobbed up and down the lower leagues and non leagues.
Did you ever run the derelict line, CG?

Yep,ran the line there only once V Fulham and they had just scrapped the minimum height to join the Police and the officer patrolling the pitch was so short I thought he was the corner flag.

Went there in the early sixties. A promotion battle between Mansfield and the Rovers at the top of Division three towards the end of the season. As we got on the coach at Eastville Stadium to travel to the game i glanced at the Western Daily Press's sports news page. Rovers headline comment, Bert Tann says, " Even if we lose it isn't the end of the world". My heart sank, what a confidence booster that comment was. Sure enough we lost the game, well beaten by Mansfield.
