Who said the competition was poor attended? Just about all the stats ever?

Who said the competition was poor attended? Ask the fan at Accy or Port Vale on the same night? Less than 1000. How do those proud clubs survive? Selective picking there, after years of ignoring attendances that are poorer, including ours at the Mem so nothing to see here because we can all do that to fit our narrative. It's all done at the behest of Premier League which is rich enough, and dominant enough, without their infiltration into Full Members Trophy.

All of he above notwithstanding when there is the scent of a local derby regardless of the competition (not the Gloss Cup) there is an edge that cuts like no other.
My Walsall friends were up for it and the Saddlers fans numbered over 1,000 at St Andrews last night to witness a victory that made it all the sweeter.
If the team that operates south of the river were relegated next May would there be a renewed anticipation of a local derby in the Mickey Mouse Tupperware Trophy or whoever it is next year that puts their name to this tin pot cup for Gasheads?
The 2007 all Bristol SF had respectable ticket sales.
