UPDATE:
I reached out to Tom Gorringe who replied within minutes, he also copied in the Rovers Head of Media Mitch Waddon, who then also replied with this update:
Hi Phil,
Thanks for reaching out.
We will be offering a streaming service for international supporters for the 2024/25 season and are just in the process of determining our pricing. I hope to have more information in the next few days.
Best regards
Mitch Waddon

That sounds like bloody marvellous news. Don't rip anyone off though, next. And make it work on smart TVs, not just computers. Like YouTube or whatever else streams live like that.

I do now, but that seems just as unlikely as I doubt Rovers etc can put it behind a paywall if they boardcast it via YouTube etc.

Oh YouTube charges are all for them only, are they? They're missing a trick there, if so. They could take a slim commission from the revenue raised by people paying for YouTube streams of live sporting events, via tickets sold (subject to geographic/national licence). It would be cool, but I'm sure you're right that YouTube have failed to offer football clubs this service. Maybe an alternative might appear on the standard smart TV apps that might offer this, but apparently not this season. At least it looks like our Taiwan, New Zealand, etc. supporters have 'something' coming to serve their international online ticketing needs, awaiting confirmation.

I think I paid £143 last season, quite a jump in price. The cynic in me says as Rovers are doing it themselves it'll be more expensive but not as good.

Bolton were offering their fans an early bird offer for £140, then a price hike to £180. It looks like Rovers sadly opted to not offer any early bird deal. My account is now 221 Euros lighter, I'm sure it'll be worth every cent (lol).

I have paid £140.00 previously, but the £140.00 price was an ‘early bird’ offer, I think the regular price was £160.00 in seasons past. Of course, this season it is too late to offer an early bird price, so we are having to pay the regular price, well, that’s my guess at it. Also the Sales pitch on the BRTV section is a bit vague, for example, no mention of any cup games or commentary included. Like you, I have a suspicion over the quality that we will be offered.

As an "International Supporter", woo fancy! I'm cautiously optimistic. 180 quid (whatever that is in Swedish Kronor) for the 23 league games is okay but not great. I remember well the beginnings of live streaming with no commentary and it was No Bueno, as we international supporters say. Going to go for an individual pass to start with and report back here. The Radio Bristol commentary team has their faults and foibles but i think most of us would agree they are better than nothing. I also remember some Podcast lads doing the commentary and it was all tiresome bantz and in-jokes.
If all else fails its down to the "English Pub" to talk to a man about a dodgy Amazon Firestick iPTV thinger.

Surely this is for 46 league games plus some extras - that sounds pretty good to me!

That’s good value. I’m in Sydney so I many games are on at inconvenient times. Would there be a delay option so I can watch matches at reasonable times!?

I have IPTV, I pay £70 a year for the whole lot.Sky, TNT..etc.The greed in football, even from our own club is disgusting.
I love my club,I've paid thousands into it over years.I go to 15/20 games a season, but last year I didn't pay for iFollow for the first time as each game was on IPTV.
I don't feel guilty about it at all.And if our games are on there again this season, somehow I will do so again if I don't attend the match itself.
That may change once I don't have to queue 15 minutes to use the toilet, only to get a sock full of someones else's urine at the Mems bogs...that's after I've spent nearly £30 for a ticket and another £5 for a cold sausage roll..

I see Bristol Rovers have just launched BRTV. Should do the same as iFollow.
