Claire Brooks has been jailed after admitting being involved in supplying class A drugsA drug dealer who was caught with white powder at a football match has been jailed. Claire Brooks, 52, was arrested at Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium in April last year after the substance was found, which led to police officer searching her home. Avon and Somerset Police there found evidence Brooks, of Sheldrake Drive, Stapleton, was involved in the supply of class A drugs. She appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on August 24th 2023 and pleaded guilty to supplying of Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class A and C drugs. On Tuesday, June 11th, Brooks was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court to 30 months in prison. She was also handed an eight-year Football Banning Order.

I might be mistaken, but I feel like I've seen her at The Memorial Ground, amd fwlt at the time she seemed friendly with a lot of different people. Takes all sorts, I suppose.

I'm shocked at this. Did n't know her but she seems a massive Rovers fan as either seen her at games or often on FB page.
I'm really disappointed, she was my heroin!

It's a name I recognise as being fairly prolific on facebook groups.
Have to be careful though.
Earlier I was looking at the Admin list on Bristol Rovers FC Appreciation, and there were 2 accounts in the name of Claire Brooks.
Just had a look again, and there are a total of 11 Admin names, but now just 1 Claire Brooks. So I guess the other account has been removed from the group, or the person has deleted their account.

Could this be in any way linked with all the recent sackings and the reopening of the Barton trial? Maybe it wasn’t wine they drank the night he kicked her in the head. Just speculating…

Probably a combination of both, Charlie has certainly replaced alcohol
as the stimulant amongst fans who need something to rev them up watching a football game.
That's why the convicted picturesque supplier found the Mem such a welcoming reciprocal.

Eight years is a bit excessive for me. If she expressed remorse and clearly indicated how she would otherwise repay her debt to society (e.g., working with Knowle West Against Drugs or addicts), I would suggest about four years would be appropriate. We saw how much of a circus the courts and the legal system were in the Barton trial. They've also released people who planned terrorist attacks half-way through their sentence for good behaviour FFS. |

Never Touched drugs ( apart from alcohol) but does Cocaine smell? I know weed does as I smelt it but never been around any other drugs? Could the cops dogs smelt it at the games?

Surely the Rovers will ban this person for life ? i will be very disappointed if they dont....anyone selling drugs at the stadium should be banned.
icegas there are dogs that are trained to sniff out drugs usually (but not always) Spaniels...maybe Rovers could hire some to sniff people going into the ground now that its known there is a problem.
