Lots of questions asked about the competence of Trumps security at the assinattion attempt. Maybe if they hired the best candidates for the job, instead of worrying about quotas, the ratio of women to men etc,the assassination attempt would not of gone as far as it did and the poor man that died, would still be alive. I have been reading a lot about this on various sites. The performance of the security was poor I said that in an earlier post, some of the team didnt seem trained or competent, one in particular looked overweight and performed poorly. Apparently there are quotas and they want more women and minorities on the team, I think thats nonsense, the best applicants should be chosen, the immediate guards need to be taller than the President. The head shed when asked why the roof the shooter used wasnt secured seemed to suggest that the roof had been looked at but no one was placed on it due to health and safety concerns....her answers plus the FLF not being able to reholster her pistol and not seeming to have a clue is giving female bashers some ammo, but the woman with the pony tail/bun did well (some one said that she is Russian) though she was a bit shorter than Trump. I have no issue with women on security but they have to be the right women same as not all men would be suitable for that job.

Trump even suggesting it would send the media into a frenzy. But that's not the point though, is it. Well it probably would be for Trump as he hates the media, but no its not the point, the point is that he may well decide to try and rescind it although maybe he would be too old to run for a 3rd term.

I don't understand why you insist on promoting this point when it is clearly not within his remit and the checks and balances would almost certainly prevent him from altering the constitution.

They have been covering up the cognitive ability of the leader of the free world at a time with two serious, potentially nuclear, conflicts there.
Thatâs f**king unforgivable.
Whomever is running against Trump now in particular if Harris, is going to get destroyed.
Makes the argument that Trump's assassination attempt last week was the deepstate's way of getting Trump gone more than just a conspiracy.
Is this the most historic week in the history of U.S politics..?
The run up to November is going to be fascinating.

The fact that theyâre pushing someone in Kamala, who is thoroughly unpopular, tells me theyâll try to kill Trump again.

I donât debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know: I know how to tell the truth.â 2nd July Lloyd Doggett is the first Democratic Representative to call for Biden to step aside - and is soon joined by others. 5th July In an interview with ABCâs George Stephanopolous, Biden says only the âLord Almightyâ could persuade him to stand down and he will not take a cognitive test. 8th July After a weekend of in-party disagreement, Biden tells news show Morning Joe âI am not going anywhereâ and sends Democrats a long letter pleading for unity. 10th July Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tells Morning Joe âit's up to the president to decide if he is going to run,â making it clear the matter is not settled. George Clooney calls for him to quit in an op-ed, and Peter Welch becomes the first Democratic senator to demand he withdraws. 11th July At the end of a Nato summit in Washington, Biden refers to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as âPresident Putinâ and Vice-President Harris as Trump. 13th July The spotlight briefly moves off Biden as Trump is shot in the ear in an attempted assassination. 17th July Biden tests positive for Covid and pauses campaigning to quarantine. Top Democrat Adam Schiff calls on Biden to âpass the torch.â Other lawmakers take up the saying. 18th July A clip goes viral of Biden forgetting Defence Secretary Lloyd Austinâs name in an interview where he also says heâd drop out if a âmedical condition emerged.â Reports leak of congressional leaders talking about leaving the race with Obama saying he has low chances of winning. 19th July Biden announces he will return to the campaign trail the next week. The number of House Democrats demanding his withdrawal hits 30 and major donors turn up the heat. 20th July Trump slams Democrats for not knowing who their nominee is. Keir Starmer says he respects Joe Biden's decision..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/21/7b16f25a-ecde-4122-99d5-7c4b3c997e4a.jpgWe've just heard from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer now. In a statement, he says he "respects" Biden's decision and looks forward to working with him during the final months of his presidency. "I know that, as he has done throughout his remarkable career, President Biden will have made his decision based on what he believes is in the best interests of the American people," he adds. The pair met for the first time around two weeks ago, at a Nato summit in Washington where Biden accidentally referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as "President Putin".

Joe Biden's statement in full..ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/7/21/68501ce7-e8a8-4d05-90aa-3239bf1268db.jpgLet's bring you Joe Biden's full statement pulling out of the race for the White House, which he posted on X a short time ago:"My Fellow Americans, over the past three-and-a-half years, we have made great progress as a nation. Today, America has the strongest economy in the world. We've made historic investments in rebuilding our nation, in lowering prescription drug costs for seniors, and in expanding affordable health care to a record number of Americans. "We've provided critically needed care to a million veterans exposed to toxic substances. Passed the first gun safety law in 30 years. Appointed the first African American woman to the Supreme Court. And passed the most significant climate legislation in the history of the world. America has never been better positioned to lead than we are today. "I know none of this could have been done without you, the American people. Together, we overcame a once in a century pandemic and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. We've protected and preserved our democracy. And we've revitalised and strengthened our alliances around the world. "It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term. "I will speak to the nation later this week in more detail about my decision. For now, let me express my deepest gratitude to all those who have worked so hard to see me re-elected. "I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work. And let me express my heartfelt appreciation to the American people for the faith and trust you have placed in me. "I believe today what I always have: that there is nothing America can't do - when we do it together. We just have to remember we are the United States of America."
