It's a laughable gimmick. Wait a week or two and we will get "bringing back hanging". That will get the juices rising amongst the blood lusts. The fact hanging was a deterrent and probably saved far more lives than it took,won't come into it for some. I get the we must not be like them ( murderers etc ),but hanging was a d e t e r r e n t. |

My. Nephew was basically a waster but eventually went in the marines , is now in the met police , has lovely house , wife & 2 kids , have to say the marines was the making of him
Young kid where I work took ( was forced by dad ) a job as a general dogs body ( sweeper up ) & is now being trained as a cnc miller , again his original attitude was appalling , just wanted to go home , but now he’s really enjoying it
Lot of these kids just need a bit of a push

Not sure about hanging , but firing squads could give these young kids a bit of experience before going in the army & we’d not be wasting bullets on a firing range , and prisons are full |

During this 5 year period, what would of been hanging offence crimes went up in number. More crime most disgusting. Not less. |

I assume in your 60/70 yrs on this planet you’ve never spent a day away from your children ? As for me agreeing with going in the army , it doesn’t seem to have done my nephew any harm , ask him and he will tell you it’s the best thing that ever happened to him , though I’ve no doubt in your liberal leftie utopia he should of stayed in his bedroom with his mum & dad cooking his meals / washing his clothes etc etc . |

Four birds with one stone. Youngsters are given some guidance. The prisons free up some capacity. Dangerous murderers are removed from society (permanently). The tax payer (you & me) are relieved of the financial burden of keeping these people in prison. Possible revenue streams through pay per view? |

Of course I have, but over an 18 year period it was a very small % of the time. And, I certainly did not spend time sitting on the sofa smoking spliffs with them, as you said a member of your family did. And yes, I do think absentee parents have a lot to answer for. |
