Good to hear from you, Bas, you old goat. What do you think's wrong at Rovers? What do you think's the solution? I'm totally behind Taylor. But I appreciate it's worse for those there. Hello Shoveler 🙂 ,hmm big question. I make the guess Al Saeed can get the Mem improved and the Quarters too.So that side of things, perhaps, don't look too bad.🤞 On the football side, retrospectively Al and Joseph were never going to be a great match.I think Al sacked Joseph too soon.A mistake. Then who to hire?Eventually we got Matt and it has'nt been any good has it.The sooner this season is finished the better.Too many players don't want to work for Matt.He needs his own squad and then we'll see. Joseph himself found motivation difficult once a promotion was not going to happen.See last season.Too many players at Rovers also think this way it seems. On a positive note,Conteh looks a super player and would'nt it be just grand if half a dozen players of similar quality are signed. That would be a lovely surprise. Can George Friend spot good players? Will he work hard? In a nutshell. On stadia and training grounds, things might not be in a bad situation. 🤞 On football side,we have a President that does'nt know very much about football.Along with his spoilt son, they have a new toy,Bristol Rovers. We have to hope they get things right,eg,if Matt gets sacked, say after a dozen games of next season, let's hope Al will have a football person in to advise him on the new man. There's alot of stuff up in the air right,ay?

It’s in your blood ( or it is mine ) , it would be very easy for me to go & watch forest ( live notts ) , I did once when I first moved up with a lad I worked with , forest mad , but I’ve never been less enthusiastic about something in my life , bored out of my brains after 30 mins , never been since other than when we’ve played them . Rovers are my team and always will be , the journey home can be a bit tiresome after a loss , but you do get used to it , I work with blades / Sunderland / Leeds etc etc , there all the same , same moans , can’t kid pop to city ground but all head up motorway to there team on a Saturday It’s frustrating but nothing decades of supporting rovers has got me used to . Each to their own isn’t it ? I love live football. I will watch local non-league stuff but having been down here for nearly early 50 years I’ve taken an interest in most local things. Having two boys who loved football and were in danger of becoming armchair Man U fans I started taking them to their local league club, AFCB. At that time they were in Div 4 hunting for fans and their Season Tickets for families were incredibly cheap so we did it. I just couldn’t afford transport to Bristol regularly, neither did I have the time and the kids had to fit other stuff in. 30 minutes each way meant we only spent Saturday afternoons doing it, it didn’t dominate family life. And one has become a life-long cherry taking in away matches. We were no glory hunters but he’s now loving the football dream. Well done to them, though I only whisper it on here! And I still get about 10 games a season with us. UTG! Yes everyone is different , I just can’t get any enthusiasm for any team but rovers , my daughters boyfriend is a forest season ticket holder , he offered me a ticket for the playoff final & I said no give it to a real forest fan , it would of been a wasted ticket for me , though strangely he has come to the odd rovers away ( local match ) & gets really into it , maybe it’s just me with rovers in my blood , and I’ve a 32 yr old girl who you’d think born in notts , partner forest would support forest / county is rovers through & through , every opertunity she’s in the car with me , always texting we’ve scored even when on a shift as hospital , rovers are more important than the patients by the seems of things Glad your boys are enjoying there football , that’s the main thing

When DC was in charge tbh. Felt the club died a little when he left (as good as job as GC did following him).

My hope doesn't last long when I attend games, usually as I walk out the pub to the game. It's when you hear how optimistic the home fans are about playing us. At Port Vale recently, listening to our crowd at the start killed any optimism, strangely subdued and accepting the inevitable! Glad that changed for one game at least at Cheltenham.....

I went with him to watch. Bournemouth fans were walking about with collection buckets, to try to raise some money to help the club keep going. The times, they have a changed.

They seem to think they are one of the big boys these days....

When I said so to the people I sit next to they knew nothing about it, and probably cared even less. Unfortunately they have forgotten. When I go to watch I can’t do much about it except make sure spending I do is done in shops before I get into the ground. Football is cyclical and for clubs like AFCB they will have their day and will then return to the Championship and…..Might not happen now but it will happen. UTG!

It all started when they put Bomo in Darset. Ridiculous. That's what happens when you muck about with county lines. Like putting Sluff in Berky.

Got to laugh. Whenever anyone in Bournemouth complains about anything it’s not long before someone says it goes back to ‘74 when Bournemouth was put into Dorset although they were taken out about 25 years later. Still why stop people complaining?
And alf, you’re right and just like AFCB back in the day, Dorset now don’t have a pot to…… Like many shire counties.
