A woman that I am seeing is a carer, she was telling me how her day got ****ed up and she was late getting to her appointments one day last week because of 'eco' protesters in Clifton. She deals with people who are sometimes in great pain are very vulnerable and who rely on her,she said that as she sat there in the traffic she had a good look at the protesters, she described them as being mainly old men, socially inadequate looking with grubby clothes and Terry Nutkin hairstyles.
We keep being told that protesting is a big part of british democracy blah blah,I say thats b0ll0x,I doubt if 1% of the population have or would protest in the streets but we the 99% have to pay the Police and be inconvenienced by the tiny minority of protesters, how's that democracy ? Let them march around a disused industrial estate for hours if they want to but protests on city streets that stop people from going about their daily life should be stopped.
I saw a video from Cardiff of a pro Palestine/anti Israel demonstration, every person there looked like an oddbod,it was like every social worker in South Wales had taken their clients on a sponsored walk.

A bunch of soap dodgers outside the car park at AG today, some had come dressed up as a black block but they werent very convincing and even less intimidating. The usual bunch of saddo's shouting through loud hailers, obviously unemployed in fact obviously unemployable. The laugh was that you could hardly see them from Winterstoke road and they were tucked so far away from the public that the only ones who could hear their rambling chants were themselves, still they had a nice day out and probably most of their days are a waste of time anyway.

Were they protesting outside Babcock's? If so, I expect the protesters tomorrow will head to the Iranian Embassy in London to protest about them supplying weapons to the Palestinians.......I won't hold my breath though.

They were outside the old East end (thats some how now the South sand ?) car park, ranting to themselves and bewildering car loads of shoppers heading to Iceland etc. Apparently there was an "arms fair" inside AG.. in one of the suites I suppose. Theres some pictures of them which must have been taken about the time that I was there, the woman who forgot her flags pole and had it on a massive branch (lucky I didnt have the dog with me) also some tw@t who looked to be one of the Cardiff pro Palestine mob last weekend....tbh I think rentamob do all the protests, their carbon footprint must be huge. Benny Gantz is in London today so I expect they will all be up there ranting, raving and dribbling.

Thanks for putting the pictures up BT now people can see what a lefty mob looks like...thankfully the pictures arent scratch and sniff. The person with the Palestine flag on a branch is in the middle of the top picture,I think it was a woman but tbh its difficult to tell with that lot. Pictures must have been taken after I was there as I saw a few more black block(head) types, maybe the needle exchange had opened. I like the bottom picture with the girl(?) wiping her nose on the banner...classy.

Palestine Action 'spray and slash' historic painting A pro-Palestine mob has destroyed a historic painting of a top Conservative at Cambridge University. Palestine Action targeted the painting of Lord Balfour at Cambridge's Trinity College this afternoon. In footage posted online by the group, an activist can be seen spraying the painting with what appears to be red paint before slashing it a number of times. Palestine Action shared the video online, under a comment claiming responsibility, just before 2.30pm on Friday (March 8). Lord Balfour was a Conservative politician who gave his name to the Balfour Declaration in November 1917, which was issued by the British Government on the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Cambridgeshire Police said it received a report online this afternoon of criminal damage to a painting at Trinity College, Cambridge. The force said in a statement: "Officers are attending the scene to secure evidence and progress the investigation. No arrests have been made at this stage." In a statement posted on its website, Palestine Action said it "ruined" the painting by Philip Alexius de László inside Trinity College, University of Cambridge. It added: "An activist slashed the homage and sprayed the artwork with red paint, symbolising the bloodshed of the Palestinian people since the Balfour Declaration was issued in 1917." Palestine Action claim Balfour gave away the Palestinians homeland, arguing that until 1948 the British "burnt down" indigenous villages to prepare the way for the state of Israel. The group's statement continued: "With this came arbitrary killings, arrests, torture, sexual violence including rape against women and men, the use of human shields and the introduction of home demolitions as collective punishment to repress Palestinian resistance. "The British were initiating the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, fulfilling the Zionist aim to build their ‘home’ over the top of what were Palestinian communities, towns, villages, farms and ancestral land." Palestine Action said since 1948 the "Zionist regime" has continued to "ethnically cleanse" the Palestinian people, culminating in "an intensified genocide in Gaza". The group said: "Britain’s support for the continued colonisation of Palestine hasn’t wavered since 1917." Israel launched its air, sea and ground offensive in Gaza in response to Hamas’ October 7 attack on southern Israel, in which militants killed around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducted around 250 others. The latest figures raise the total Gaza death toll to 30,878 since the Israel-Hamas war started five months ago, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. The overall number of wounded has risen to 72,402. The ministry does not distinguish between civilians and combatants in its count, but said 72 percent were women and children

The Police have the powers and chose not to enforce them. Unless you are on a 'right-wing' protest (or anything that does not fall nicely into "woke political awareness")- in which case your feet wouldn't touch the ground. Yet another blatant example of two tier policing.

So by your curt reply,I assume you don't disagree with these people's actions, regardless of who or what did what and when, these people by their rather pathetic actions are now criminals. . BUT, because it is associated with the current situation in the East ,they will get a slapped wrist and given a packet of sweets to show that everything is fine, carry on as you are..

Your assumption is incorrect. What I do not disagree with is stating historical facts. Important because, as most members on here exemplify, so money people have no idea. Some members on here demanded context for some of my comments, the protesters here provided their context and it is steeped in historical facts. All good, but destruction of an artifact is just gesture politics and I don't agree.

Yes and its not just two tier policing its the different way that people are treated in the courts,Just stop oli/pro Palestinians seem to get much lighter punishments than for instance football supporters. Middle class JPs siding with middle class protesters ? very dangerous if lots of people start thinking that the law doesnt apply equally to everyone.

Yesterday it was mentioned that protests in London alone by pro palestine/anti israel protesters had cost £32 million to Police ! that didnt include yesterdays march. Add in protests in Cardiff,Manchester,Bristol etc etc and its a huge amount of money.
