Full disclosure, I stole this idea from a poster on the other forum.
With a local lad benching an U21 international loanee from a Premiership London club it seems logical he keeps him out of the England U21s squad. Right?
Unfortunately, I think that is unlikely to happen given the biased nature of England's selectors. It's almost ludicrous how the powers that be prefer a London-based and/or Premiership player's flashy credentials at the expense of a deserving regional or lower-league candidate.
I remember there being huge calls for Gary Mabbutt to get an England cap when at his prime with Rovers. That never happened but just weeks after his transfer to Spurs he's in the England team. Funny that.
Anyway.... Jed Ward for England!

Chris Martin for Scotland ? 17 previous full caps 3 goals You sure about that figure? 17 caps, 30 goals sounds more like it, especially as the standard of international football is now so poor. Why not? Che Adams has around one in three for a Southampton side near the top of the table, and Chris was scoring one in four last season for a very poor Q.P.R. A beast of a striker.
