Taking place today, German,French and US ambassadors attending, carrying red roses,,showing some respect to the man allegedly ( but obviously denied) by the president of Russia,( at least on his orders) a large gathering in attendance close to the church and along the route of his passing coffin, rounds of applause as he passed by and chants of " you were not afraid, and we are not afraid" in honour of him, a heavy police presence but as yet no problems, but if any arrests are to be made( more likely than not) then probably as the crowd disperse,

In a video shared on social media, several people could be seen approaching and hugging her, saying: "Thank you for your son" and "forgive us". ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/90754655-6184-44df-8aa1-724fb35b2dbb.jpgNavalny's wife Yulia and two children currently live abroad, and have decided not to travel to Russia reportedly amid concerns of possible repression from the Kremlin. In a poignant tribute to her husband on Instagram, Yulia thanked him for "26 years of absolute happiness". "I don't know how to live without you, but I will try to do it so you - up there - would be happy and proud of me. "We will definitely meet one day," Yulia added. She also posted footage of some of the most memorable moments of the couple's lives. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/7c54d001-006d-4579-8c8d-3a38e335cafc.jpgThousands of people came today to pay their respects to Alexei Navalny - and they did so despite significant personal risks that may follow. At least 400 people were detained just for laying flowers on the day of his death, 16th February. And we know for a fact that at least some of them later lost their jobs with a clear message that this was because of their political position. We don't yet know what may follow for people who have come to the church and cemetery today, but mourners definitely needed some bravery to show up. ichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/2001fb60-137d-4c99-8b79-37905e2bf237.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/78622747-fe38-4873-ab7e-9c40ceb7ee18.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/d04841e8-101a-48e0-a946-2a43aaa8c96c.jpgichef.bbci.co.uk/live-experience/cps/624/cpsprodpb/vivo/live/images/2024/3/1/ce908509-e435-42fd-921f-1e09b16f068b.jpg

Apart from the fact that Navalny wasnt a fan of Putin would he have made a good leader of Russia ? Apart from Yeltsin who came across as bit of a pi$$ed up clown on occasion (although tbf he was Russian leader at a difficult time) has there ever been a 'nice' Russian leader, Putin is a thug but he's not in Stalins league for his kill count,Russia once had a leader called 'Ivan the terrible'. Maybe Russia is a country with a brutish people who need to be ruled by some horrible **** or the country would disintegrate into anarchy.

He ain't doing too bad at the moment regards number count, approaching almost 400,000 of his own troops, and possibly half that of Ukrainian personnel in Ukraine..not including civilian victims

Stalin was also an anti semite and a paedophile...
