Hahaha "we told that racism was alive....how did we know ?....because we know that anti semitism is part of lefty/labour culture". Superb counter argument Trymer, worthy of a 10 year old.

Yup. Despite SKS 'words' the Labour Party remains anti-semitic. They thought they had got rid of it after ridding themselves of Hamas apologist, Jeremy Corbyn. But it's still there. Tip of the iceberg, or just one bad apple. Could be a good harvest this year. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68280098SKS had to rely on a Mail/Mail on Sunday sting to find out. Because he obviously doesn't know what sort of candidates he is endorsing. IF I was a jew I would be worried about my families safety in Britain right now,if/when Labour get into power I would be even more worried. Why. Seriously why ? When did you hear of synagogues being burnt, Jews hunted or hurt etc. You cannot say a word about them without it being labelled as antisemite. I know a fair few of the Judaic faith and have not heard one make any comment on this.

Oh come on Ian, hardly rounding anyone up or anything like it. No rallies, stabbing or anything that can be compared to the period you talk of. You want to see real antisemitism behaviour, go to Poland. If the UK shocks you then lord knows what that would do. Frankly, I’m sick of it all being blown out of proportion. It’s , seemingly, the only thing the tories are constantly using, against labour. There are other and more important issues IMO

There are other and more important issues IMO Funnily enough I used to work with a Polish bloke when I was an apprentice, well travelled man,Siberia/Syria/Italy you get the picture. He told me that anti semitism was rife in Poland pre 1939, and I have read that some jews who survived concentration camps returned to Poland and were treated so badly (some murdered !) that they returned to DP camps in Germany. Starmer is in an odd situation, he has pledged to rid the Labour party of anti semitic elements, but he has come under attack from pro Palestinian people in his party because of his pro Israel stance (as they see it) in the Gaza conflict, he is going to upset one side or the other,or possibly both sides....still he has the spluttering gobs**te Lammy to help sort out his foreign policies.

What I find very concerning is that we are witnessing the thin end of the wedge. The judiciary and the Police are turning a blind eye to anti-semitism. This emboldens the racists. A Tory MP having his constituency office being fire-bombed and forced to step down? WTF is going on in this country? I accept things in Eastern Europe are probably worse. The far left must be loving how the Jews in Poland are being victimised. As for 'more important things to worry about'. A breakdown in civil order and mob rule (exclusively left wing) is something that we should all be concerned about. 'It's all just a Tory plot to distract you' is straight from the frothing mouth of James O'Brien. IMHO. Wish you well KP. Hope the health is better.

My parents told me how they looked down on Poles and mistreated them. I can only go on what they told me, very few left by comparison to prevWW11. It’s prevalent in all wings of their politics. i can’t comment on the fire bombing as I admit it’s the first I heard of it but you can bet that if one misjudged word is said, the Zionist will make others aware. Racism goes much further than the Jews but they seem to be the most important when talking of it. I have learned not to trust media and wonder what the real situation is. Thanks for the kind words. I’m battling Ian. It’s never easy

I doubt he went to Siberia voluntarily 🤣. They countries you speak of were well known places to escape it. Dad was in the gulag of Indigirka, Kołyma. He came out weighing 77 pounds but was then freed when Germany attacked Russia, taken, by the British to Pahlevi and recovered to fight in the second front. They went through literal hell. The old Polish club used to have many Polish Jews come to meet and play bridge. Good times back then

Good times back then No,it wasnt his idea to go to Siberia, he didnt want to go back for a visit either,he told me that the USSR would collapse and predicted that the USA would fall apart because of racial conflict,I thought of that when the George Floyd/BLM protests kicked off.

Galloway having a right go at Labour and calling Starmer and Sunak 2 cheeks of the same backside, less than 40% turn out last night and a show of support for candidates who dont belong to Lib/Lab/Con...people have had enough, the game is coming to an end.

But the point being no candidate was fielded Yes there was. The original Labour guy still ran. The replacement Labour candidate was listed as an Independent.

I listened to the Independent candidate who came 2nd on the radio, apparently he is a local bloke who runs his own business,he said that people seem fed up with the major parties and perhaps more Independents will run in othere constituencies. Imagine Westminster full of Independent candidates, practical people who know their local electorate and what they want....first item on the agenda proscribe every political party in the UK ! would be a great start to improving things.

All of that. But the point being no candidate was fielded Yes there was. The original Labour guy still ran. The replacement Labour candidate was listed as an Independent. Labour supported no candidate. Once they disowned their registered candidate it was to late to get him off the ballot. Hence they had no official candidates and ultimately campaigned for no one.

So...the odd job ( or pussycat) Galloway has taken his seat in the HoC's,vowing to oust Angela Rayner from her electoral seat and that SKS is in danger of going the same way if he ( Galloway,) can muster up the support within the two constituencies to achieve his aim...after that the man will more like be taken away in a straight jacket!! Wednesday at noon could be a lively affair...if he can get a question in to the PM and make a complete jackass if himself
