I am aghast that so many paedophiles seem to join the BBC,is it because they know they will be with similar people there? and that there evil ways wont be questioned? That this twisted **** tortured dogs in his 'torture chamber' is sickening,as BT said he only got 10 years, I just cant believe that nobody knew what he was doing for so long. Another person that it would be nice to meet and have a meaningful conversation with.

Another person that it would be nice to meet and have a meaningful conversation with. It is interesting the attitude of many in this country to calling out and reporting what people believe to be wrong and almost a kind of hypocrisy. The other day on a social media forum [not this one] I posted what, reading back, seemed a fairly innocuous comment which was grasped by a good old Essex boy [his profile description] who became exceptionally abusive, with extremely nasty name calling. When I asked him to calm down or I would report him, he then started on about me being a grass, scab, nonce [he didn't know the meaning of the word] etc There are hypocritical views in this country about calling someone out, especially when that person is considered a 'celebrity', 'influencer', 'famous'. etc. People will moan about benefit cheats, but when asked if they would call out a family member - silence. When a tradesman gives you a special deal for cash thus avoiding having to declare paying tax, would you call them out. The problem is this moves into the realm of far worse crimes. Is a celebrity going to call out another celebrity when it might just be a rumour. Do they feel they might be implicated if it turns out to be something worse? That has happened over Saville. His dreadful crimes hidden by his 'fame' and the cowardice of those who had heard the 'rumours' meant decades of abuse was allowed to slip. Further, the poor victims felt they might be a one off, that they daren't call it out for fear of not being believed or were too young to feel they would be believed. When I volunteered for a suicide charity I took a couple of calls from people who had been abused by a celebrity, who they didn't name, but couldn't report it because they felt they wouldn't be believed. I don't know what the answer is but we need to make people know they will be believed and that they too won't be called grass, etc

I don't know what the answer is but we need to make people know they will be believed and that they too won't be called grass, etc A lot to think about there Cheshire. I remember some journalist saying that they didnt dare publish rumours about Maxwell because he was so litigious. So many people admitting to hearing rumours about Saville once it all started coming out about his evil life,I got told off a few times when i was a kid for saying that Saville seemed to be a weirdo 'he does a lot of good work for charity' etc. I know a woman who claims the 25% discount on council tax because she lives alone,in reality her husband is there, would i dob her in ? no way, bloke I see walking his XL bully with no muzzle, the dogs soft as **** so I wouldnt report him either. There is a stigma about being a grass, tout, coppers nark, maybe it goes back to school when children are told off for doing something they might say 'what about Jimmy' ? and get told not to tell tales. I know someone who went off the rails, drugs, violence, prison etc, finally 30 + years later he met someone who recognised that something had happened to him, once he started to trust this person he was able to tell them that he had been sexually abused by an adult in a position of trust when he was a child... Later he told me about it and the subsequent court cases that he had to go through, i realised that the abuser had totally wrecked this blokes life, you read about this stuff and move on but when its someone you know you tend to think differently about it all...

David Daintree, 53, was attacked by the pet at the house in Ashley Court in Accrington and was found dead at about 21:30 BST on Tuesday. Officers had “no alternative” but to shoot the dog to “prevent it from causing further injury”, Lancashire Police said. Mr Daintree's family were being supported by specialist officers after the "tragic incident", Supt Marie Jackson said. An investigation has been launched and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The ambulance service first contacted police after it received reports of the man being attacked, the force said. Mr Daintree was found later found dead and the dog was deemed to be "continuing to pose a significant threat of serious harm". Ms Jackson said: "My thoughts are with his loved ones at this time. “An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with any information to get in touch. “We will have extra officers out and about in the area carrying out enquiries and I would urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to them.”

It's very sad for his family. But from my limited first hand experience of men, usually young men, with these dogs, the dogs (and owners), are trained to be aggressive, the dogs are rarely exercised properly and are often mistreated so they have a fear of punishment and strangers.
Why anyone would want to raise dogs like these poor innocent misguided creatures is beyond me.
